Grupetto shirt (looked like Dave Mac) spotted in the crowd during pursuit! :)

Fucking hell, what a save by Remy!

Plus one. How did he stay on and how did that Astana rider end up under that van?
What a great finish... -

What a great finish...
Agreed, Tondo stacking on the line as well. The Astana boy nearly lost it a few times on the run in. Excellent stuff.
p.s, re; The Astana rider under the van. It wasn't made clear how he ended up there. Hope he's okay. -

Gilbert is a monster; Chuck Norris on a Canyon

tense finish, today, shame wiggo and sky didn't give it a proper attack, not that Martin would have struggled to keep up

It was an awesome finish today :)

summed up my feelings exactly... it's a shame, but Martin is ten times the rider Wiggarello is. ever since last years TDF i always feel that the Wiggidy-wag is always struggling to hang in with the big boys, and his time-trialling is always 2nd or 4rd best, never enough to blow away a big favorite.
it's almost like he's wigan athletic, and Tony Martin is Man. Utd, to use a crass analogy.

• #1313
Yeah no doubt Tony would have had him, but shame didn't give it a try.
I know that Paris Nice isn't the tour but I can't imagine Wiggo have that much of a chance anytime soon

• #1314
I suppose Wiggins didn't want to risk losing potential UCI points.

I wonder what OPL are planning for MSR this Saturday. Is their priority going to be protecting Gilbert or an attempt to set up Greipel?..
-
• #1317
Gilbert for sure.
Who's Greipel?
-
• #1318
Hah!

• #1319
Gilbert for sure.
Who's Greipel?
He's fatter than you.

A funny moment about 16 minutes into Eurosprorts coverage of stage 7 of the tirreno adriatico yesterday when one of the riders 'took out' a spectator's mobile phone with his shoulder. Sadly I can't find any footage on the web.

A campaign trying to get ITV to show more cycling on TV from the Comic: http://www.cyclingweekly.co.uk/news/latest/519467/call-for-itv-to-broadcast-more-cycling.html
I didn't realise ITV had the rights to so much. Makes me wonder why, when they show so much plop on ITV 1-4, they don't show Paris-Roubaix etc.
Probably costs them a few pence more but it'd be great watcing it on a big TV rather than a tiny laptop. You'd think it would attract a fair few viewers... perhaps not.

I'd like to see it stay with Eurosport. I don't want it all commercialised, filled with ads and shit.
MSR today.
-
• #1323
^fair dos But given all its faults at least ITV is free to air*.
*unless Eurosport is too - don't know I don't have a dish.
-
• #1324
No idea. But have watched ITV and Eurosport Tour coverage I'd definitely want to keep Eurosport.
-
• #1325
I'd agree if I had a choice, I remember watching the TdF for the first time on Eurosport with Duffield doing the commentary and that was amazing. Much better coverage and for longer.
