That’s the one.
That fork looks nice. Looking forward to hearing about clearance.
Just noticed Cougar custom builds are on the Dolan site:
Apologies if it's been posted previously.
Does anyone have a picture of a Pre Cursa with a steel fork? Having a hard time picturing it, I'd have to see it to know how much of a bad idea it would be.
my old Dolan pre cursa had a Pake disc fork. I thought it fit nicely.
Bad is good
Saw this on IG recently:
FXE in winter mode
I have one with surly steamroller forks, lemme trail the thread for a link to a picture
Edit: can't figure out on phone, it's somewhere in this thread
Advice wanted: What size BB for a Pre-Cursa (current model) with fluted Andel cranks?
Struggling with headset standards due to ignorance on my part.
Headset replacement for pre cursa - I'd rather not more so I'm trying to see if there are any generic equivalents that'll do the job.
I assume all 1 1/8 straight integrated headsets aren't created equal so this probably won't do a job? Worst case I'll just buy the aplina one from Dolan
Precursas take 36x45: https://www.superstarcomponents.com/en/type-1-headset-bearings-36x45-degree-cane-creek-compatible-x2.htm
Thank you! I also need a crown race and possibly a compression ring- again excusing ignorance but are they hearing specific?
Use the old ones
When I swapped out my fork I got the £12.49 brand-x integrated headset for the various little bits/spares. Used the crown race definitely, can't remember if I swapped the bearings
Sorry should have been clearer - I'm a cretin and managed to lose the crown race and compression ring while in storage
Hmm seems like regardless of bearings those parts should be interchangeable then - good!
Okay after actually reading instead of being lazy and coming here - bearings in that Brand-X headset should do the job. Thanks all!
Late to this and shit photo but I’ve got Decade Kenesis Truth forks on mine
