Last night's bivvy tipple was Brew York's Barton 1792 Empress Tonkoko – 10.6%
Brewed and released just once a year, each Barrel Aged Empress Tonkoko release spends at least 12 months in a unique selection of Bourbon barrels. This year Barton 1792 was selected for its spicy and rye-richness to add oak depth to an already deeply decadent beer.
Bloomin' marvellous it was, and the beer's pretty good too.

There used to be a Casino supermarket over the road from me when I lived in Toulouse that sold Chimay Bleu for €1 a bottle.
Reader, I drank shitloads of that.

Someone turned up to Water into Beer with 20 year old lambics as they have acid reflux and can't drink them.
