htfu? sorry,sorry...
Wedge an old spoon in and use that to get the tyre onto the rim. Never needed to, but you could also try heating the tyre with a hair dryer. might work.
Good luck!

try pumping the inner tube up a bit once you have one side of the tyre on, should help

Go around the tyre pushing the bead into the recess of the rim, this should give you a bit of slack, usually enough to push the last bit over.

+1 take it off, stand with your feet on the inside and pullllllll the other edge towards you like a big elastic band, talc is also good for getting it in.
I had similar probs with a conti a long time ago, theres a thread on here somewhere..EDIT: seems its so old, its not on here anymore, however I do remember being told to HTFU.

This is driving me up the fucking wall.
It just won't go on. The tyre is too stiff. I could only just get one side in but can't get the other side in all the way round. Just wrecked one inner tube trying to sort it, ripper a fucking massive whole in it to be precise. The edge of the tyre is just tooo stiff.
Any suggestsions / tips. I really want to finish my build tonight.
