Subs for league matches - ruling please

I am over this, and really sorry for being a dick, but I really, really wanted to postpone this game, but with only two hours notice and the boys committing to coming south, it wouldn't be fair. I did arrange Aidan as a sub AND agreed it with Iain before Malice and Ali came down, so I think I just felt like I was being bullied.

There must be an equation for the more rules there are, the less fun polo gets! :)

I really was not trying to be a bully. I'm sorry you felt that way. As I said, I heard about the sub on the bike ride to Souths, and I simply wanted to register that we were not happy having to play against Aiden, after which I said it remained their choice.

And, as much as I also believe fewer rules = better, this is a league, and there is something to be said for not allowing a team to gain significant advantage by having a sub.

+1. The league is tight, and some places will come down to goal difference. I know we shouldn't take it too seriously, but it is a league after all so competitiveness is inherent.

Without meaning any disrespect to Los C, we were hoping to up our goal difference in this game. A lot of teams in the league will hope to do this against lower placed teams. The point is, with subbing, we're not all playing the same teams. I think the subs should be either from non-league games, or from a team placed lower in the league than the opposition.
