  • Does FFP apply to the National League? I’m guessing not considering how Salford were throwing money about.

  • Got to feel for Liverpool fans right now, finding out that their club is the only one in the Premier League to suffer any injuries this season

  • The netflix cash would surely pay for the journey back to the football league

  • Very interesting/thought provoking interview with Owen West on football policing

  • i think clubs like Albion and Leicester should be made to donate money to Liverpool so they can buy some new players before the transfer window opens in January otherwise they might have to use their squad.

  • Either that, or simply suspend the league until they have a fully fit squad

  • I was just looking at the 66/67 league one table earlier (don't ask) and was surprised how little has changed. Of the 22 clubs that season, only five (Forest, Stoke, Sheffield Weds, Blackpool and Sunderland) are no longer in the top flight - replaced by Palace, Wolves and Brighton.

The top four were Man United, Forest, Spurs and Leeds. Villa and Blackpool were relegated.

  • This is a tough read, but worth it.0/nov/20/anton-ferdinand-i-have-kicked-myself-for-years-for-not-speaking-out-john-terry

I, for one, have huge respect for Anton Ferdinand speaking up after all this time.

  • What must have made that even worse is that it seems that he got on quite well with John Terry before.

It's such weird doublethink by John Terry that you can be friends with Drogba and Ashley Cole, and then still use racist language against opponents. But then I suppose you only have to remember about Wayne Bridge, or the disabled parking spaces, or being a full kit wanker, to realise that he's probably just not a very good person.

  • We use "I'm having the John Terry" in a restaurant to mean "I'm going to order a burger." (Although only if it's on the menu.)

"I'm having the full John Terry" would mean demanding a burger even if the restaurant didn't sell them:/576016800342794240

  • VAR can fuck right off

  • haaland gets another 4 then they bring on

The Cameroon-born German youth international, who has scored 141 goals in 88 youth matches for the club, came on with five minutes remaining.

    Aged 16 and a day

as a late sub, not short of a few goals are dortmund

  • ha. would have been. soccer ball though. can't take anything that happens in that country seriously

  • and stevie g killing it up in scotland 10 fewer goals conceded than the next best defense, clean sheets coming out of his ears
people were gagging for a few clean sheets earlier in the season
frankie lamps and gerrard both know how to do it

speaking of frankie lamps was nice to see plucky little chelsea top the table albeit briefly yesterday, it's amazing what a good manager and a £220mn quid spend can do for a team

  • Dont support either of the Old Firm but seeing Lennon mess up the easiest 10 in a row would be delightful.

  • well we squeaked past leicester even without any loan players from other premiership teams, keita injured though, he always looks lively in his 2 match spells before injury puts him back on the physios table, wish he could stay fit for a decent spell, ah well fabihno and thiago coming back to fill the gaps, not a bad pair to add to ones squad

first half we played really well, was coo-ing at some of our moves, flowing football direct and quick up to the strikers, jota is exceeding all expectations, leicester got back into it in the 2nd half but just couldn't find vardy in the final third often enough

and a new club record 64 games at home unbeaten

  • 7 goal goal difference from being top .... damn you villa

  • Obviously Leicester went easy on us because of our injury problems.

  • 7 goal goal difference from being top .... damn you villa

That was only five of the difference, though. You'll have to damn whichever club stuck two past you to make it seven.

  • Brendan must still have a soft spot for Liverpool, Liecester seem ideally equipped to soak up some pressure and get in behind liverpool's fullbacks with a blistering counter, but they never do it. Thought thery were a bit naieve (sp?) yesterday.

  • makes you wonder what all the crying was all about Dicki.
Having seen utd at the weekend i can see why they are calling for 5 subs and possibly 10 if they could get it. but they are one of the few teams outside of the big 6 asking for it.

  • wait till the whole prem are playing sat-wed-sat and players are dropping like flies. there will be a change of heart then...
hopefully its for the players well being rather than short sighted small club mentality

  • J Wilson is talking about this a LOT.
