  • big div sign a new contract
hopefully he can have as big an impact on next season as he did in those few games he played this, genuinely excited about what he might do this season

  • I still can't believe Frank's the gaffer... Amazing...

  • I'm looking forward to seeing what happens with the Lampard jizz-in when it hits January or so and Chelsea are in tenth.

  • Only signing you can get excited about for a while I guess.

  • I think we're all aware of where this might end up but this is potential short-termism at its most perfect... We're just enjoying the moment...

It's such a breath of fresh air after all the rancour of the last couple of seasons... Even tho' we managed to win two major honours... ๐Ÿ–•

  • But not the best 4th place club with games on Wednesday counting double

  • We can't ever hope to reach those lofty heights...

  • Wait, are you picking on Corny again? You know how touchy he is, right?

  • I'm looking forward to seeing what happens with the Lampard jizz-in when it hits January or so and Chelsea are in tenth.

The reason that Lampard is coming is that, with the transfer ban, expectations are very low. Avoiding relegation is probably the only target he has been given and anything more than that is a bonus. Tenth at Christmas would be good going.

Lampard is necessary as he can reconnect the club with the supporters. 2020-21 will be a different matter.

  • Is that when Benitez will be back?

  • We can but hope.

  • It's the hope that kills you, Clive... Just ask Corny...

  • The only Hope I know is a Village in North Derbyshire. Just up the road from the Devils Arse.

  • Benitez for Bruce.

    What a terrible trade.

  • "Among the 33 managers to have managed 200 or more Premier League games, Bruce's win percentage of 28.1% (110 games in 392 games) is the second-lowest, ahead only of his former Manchester United team-mate Bryan Robson (26.8%)."

  • OMG

  • is that a joke?

  • I understand itโ€™s a windup/PR stunt.

  • Mike Ashley listening to his wallet again.

  • Is that Sheffield Wednesday?

Their kit is unrecognizable since they swapped their excellent logo for a shit one.

  • Just saw the Huddersfield logo behind.

  • The "Huddersfield Town" in the image gives it away...
