  • I am sure Basildon tap water is equitable to a Scottish island well, right?

  • Tried Bowmore in a restaurant a week or two ago, and quite liked it. Just picked this up from Tesco, and it's rather smoky & delicious!

  • I add a splash of water to get it to my liking. Best done with a water jug with a narrow spout so you don't accidentally put too much in ( I imagine true whisky nerds use a pipette). Some say you should add a drop of water to all malts to "open the drink."

    I'm currently enjoying this Springbank cask strength I picked up from the distillery shop in the summer. I add a tiny bit of water to get it to what I imagine is around 40%

    ...its a very pale malt, I swear...
