Mellow Corn is really good. It’s an easy sipper & found that I got through a bottle really quickly earlier in the summer. Liked it so much that I replaced it straight away and bought a fancy Balcones corn whiskey as well as I assumed maybe I like the style. More impressed with the ~£30 Mellow Corn to be honest
Next month payday then.
I'd be down for that
I mentioned I might be buying a barrel with friends to 'er indoors last night.
"oh. that's a good idea"
Are people talking about bourbon or whisky for a barrel purchase? I'd be in for the latter rather than the former I think....
Well hot damn! Anyone want to put forward any distilleries? If not I can poke around and see who does it.
Keep in mind that if we do get, say, 20 bottles each, you really need to be on board with the distillery choice. That's a lot of "not in my top 10 favourites TBH" to drink at some point in future.
I think that it would need to be whisky - the import duties, VAT, strange laws, impending trade wars would probably make the Bourbon option completely unworkable.
I've ordered some Nikka from the barrel. It's a blend but got good reviews. I got gifted a few bottles of drinkable but not ideal whisky at xmas and just starting to run out.
In which case please count me in! I tried copy and pasting the list but it lost all the numbers. You can tell I'm not much of a lufguss joiner-in - it has taken a whisky offering for me to engage with the list function. Much appreciated if someone could pop me on next time it's update.
Cool, that came together quick.
Popped you on the list
Potentially more if you all die before me.
You want something "nice!" right? Not "interesting!".
Nikka from the barrel
Nikka from the barrel
Delish, you won't be disappointed
this sounds like excellent fun.
adding @cheekysnaker too, can only imagine he's not read the thread yet
Don't need a ping every add.
Count me in
