My small 10% goes to 0% if gears are allowed - I cope SS riders.
I'm in, fixed, slow and fatter than ever.
Fixed or nuffink; I'm in. Plenty of winter rides out there to cater to geared types, the charm of this one is in the choice of machine.
Wusses ride if not?
I need to check with my mum first actually.
All the 2017 ride is up:
@clubman I hope to get your blessing for this (albeit retrospectively). If that day doesn't work please let me know and we can re-arrange, I'm just trying to get in early and generate some good numbers for the ride.
If you haven't seen this before I hope you will find the early part of the thread with the account of the 1959 ride interesting.
Any suggestions for a #HDIJ18 date? (double meaning)
Maybe the 20th? Usually let's the first few weeks of Jan out of the system (ie booze) and so something to look forward to.
Reminds me I need to do a reccy of the return route, considering a come-back-on-ourselves or looping up to take in Christmas Common. I'll put a thread up. But that would be some incredible forward planning by me.
So who is up for the 2020 edition?
Appreciate it's quite early but getting a date in the diary so the family know to keep it clear helps avoid clashes.
Yes please! The 18th looks about right?
@youramericanlover this is your baby now really. What's the likelihood what with the relocation and all...?
My vote is for weekend of 11th or 18th
can we move it back/forwards a weekend so it doesn't clash with Strathpuffer?
Which weekend is that?
I used Google to find out it's the 18th.
how do you not know ffs?
aah I see, you commented as I was posting, so it makes no sense.
I refuse to Google other people's events as a matter of principle.
11th fine for me though.
This is why you'll never be a Great Facilitator... :(
misses all the underground cheese festivals
I'm easy on which weekend as long as I get to the family events calendar first.
