  • Not sure, I'll ask them when I go in the week to collect my wheels.

  • That looks like a good bag.

I bought this jacket the other day in the westbeach sale (some good stuff cheap atm). It's awesome. Sad that it's gonna have to wait for so long to get used though.

  • yeah! i like the strapping-it-to-your-back-bizznezz. I'm quite short so holding the heavy bag's handle at the top and pulling it along doesn't give me a good angle and so the bottom scrapes along the ground a bit. so i end up holding it over my shoulder or looping my arm into it like a handbag(ugh!)

    please do. thx indra!

  • Just booked NYE in Avoriaz....

First time boarding, have done lessons, so looking forward to getting onto proper snow. Going with my brother, who has been boarding for a few years but has never been to Avoriaz. Anyone been and got any thoughts?

  • Keep your knees bent.

Not been there, will see if Clara has been. French resorts are usually pretty good without being too expensive/touristy. Valloire was awesome.

I have a been a few times, was there around the same time you'll be going.

There's a massive area to ride and it does get pretty busy but you'll always get on a lift, some tips you be...

If you want to do jumps go in the basic park, do not go near the big line as you won't be able to hit them properly and will just piss off those who do.

If you end up in the big park, don't sit near the jumps, it ends baddly...

There some great area with beginner friendly terrain near the town, next to and above the superpipe.

  • hmmm...snow...would be nice to be on some

  • heh I've bought my season pass for Tahoe. It damn well better snow this year

  • Damn I need to ride northstar terrain park.

  • ^^ I think we should come visit...Forum trip! :)

  • Just got the Douchebag from Snow and Rock on sale £150. Delighted.

See how we go but first impressions, well constructed out of hardy materials and great design. Wheels look sturdy and can take a beating.

My last cheapo DC bag was heavy as hell and flimsy so really regret buying a cheap crap bag, so willing to dish out a little more to protect the investments.

  • Just as an FYI Sports Pursuit had quite a few nice jackets heavily discounted a few days ago.

That looks wicked - thinking about breaking mine so I can buy that

Avoriaz is most awesome. What I really love is that you have to get a cable car up into the town as there are no cars allows which gives the town a very magical feel. Saw the Westbeach team training last time I was there. The runs kick ass, nice and wide so good for a beginner. Have a awesome time! You're gonna love it and then have to divide you time spending money on cycling bits and snowboarding bits!

  • Snowboarding's just skiing for people who can't face reality

  • meh.... I was hoping it was snowing!
    Damn summer, hurry up winter!

  • 2013-14 Bataleon catalog

will be getting a Bataleon this year after borrowing a couple on a trip at the beginning of the year and loving how the triple base feels. (snapped the nose on my forum after 5 days of use :( #csb)

Just got to decide what one I want, most of the graphics are better than last season, not sure if i want another small board or something bigger.

  • Small boards ftw.

  • My forum was a 151 "chilli-dog" and loads of fun but as I'm mainly riding off piste it doesn't really make sense. The 151 was surprisingly good in powder though. Thinking ill probably go for a 156 twin.

  • I still ride my 150cm boards and love them, ridden waist deep pow and had no problems.

    I do have a 154 too.

  • I wish we were gonna have more forum boards, absolutely love my rat.

  • Anyone want some free, yes free but old...

    snowboarding/skiing trousers?
Size approx 38/40 (Says 176 on em, no idea what that is a measurement of)
    Icepeak is the brand.
    Khaki in colour.
Comes with shoulder straps which you can zip off.

Also a pair of Dragon gloves, small.
Surfaces are scuffed but would do a beginner who is not sure about investing in gear.

Pics can be provided, just cant be bothered right now

  • On the lookout for some medium size bindings, anything going?

  • Indra,

Did your dad do his ACL snowboarding?

Never skied/snowboarded before, want to try it but have already done my ACL, had the surgery and don't want to go through it all again.

    Cheers.
