Each to their own I guess, wouldn't bother me too much but then I can be a bit of a loner. Comes of being an only child I think.

To be honest I don't like over eating, over drinking, television, presents or relatives. Yes I do it. I wear my poncy Christmas jumper, smile, get into the spirit of things but my heart is not really in it. What I really need to do over Christmas is go out make Christmas better for someone less fortunate then me. I keep saying I am going to do it but by January I have usually forgotten my good intentions.

Im a only child too and quite similar, i dont mind spending time alone, actually, at times, i relish it, a good dosing of hibernation especially if Im upset seems to help me in the long run, plus, I guess Im use to it with work...
I dont ever get really intoxicated either, me and booze dont mix so well, I need 3 days to recover from a night of drinking plus I loathe hangovers... I cant take 3 days off working to recover from booze either

Lancia Stratos. To me it still looks as if it's from the future. Compact, nimble and a damn fine rally-car.

I had a car once, many years ago when I had to drive 100 miles a day for work, and when petrol was affordable and you could drive for more than 1/2a mile without hitting gridlock. I had an Alfa Romeo 33 16v Boxer Cloverleaf, it cost me £3000 second hand, it's the most money I've ever spent on a single item ever.

difficult car to obey speed limits with, it was. traded in for a van when I started my own business

Disagree. A Stratos, like a Lamborghini Miura, works best in a mad 70s' colour. The prototype was at Goodwood last summer resplendent in the most intense orange you could imagine.

I used to have a hot rod VW beetle which I used to street race
1967 in butterscotch, with uprated suspension, brakes and a string of exploding engines

do you still have your van?
technically, no. but I do have the use of one.
hardly gets used for obvious reasons, maybe two trips a month, but is essential for tools/materials. -

I'm hoping to buy an estate just so the bikes don't have to hang off the back.

VW Passat estate , Huge inside and plenty of room on the roof for a 16ft kayak. Defo check out the skoda alternative for price and recently build quality. My MTB still goes on the rack though (when wife and kiddie are about).

Just got a couple of financial issues to resolve (hopefully over the next few days) and then I should be picking up a Volvo 850-R just after New Year.
The Jaguar phrase "space grace and pace" is what I am after, although maybe not the grace one with a Volvo.

I dont give a toss about your opinion, you posted a comment that really wasn't necessary, if you dont like cars why are you here? , there are over 800 post here from many contributors...why are you picking on me?
