I'm having a clear out on eBay, it's quite exciting - what do we think this lot will go for?
(I've never really sold anything on eBay before).
Think I prefer OG Pace Car!
Speaking of old french tat.. Found this on an extended walk with the dog this afternoon.
Did a buy
Didn't expect to watch the whole thing. Cool car/vid/find.
Thought “nah, won’t be a genuine Mi16”, then scrolled to the second photo...
If that is a series one then it's be well worth restoring. There must be very few on the road in the UK.
Front is unique to mi16
Crashed, rusted and engines for the 205.
Wonder if it has they keypad immobiliser
MI16 and T16 no?
Mi16 engine was a popular period engine swap for the 205gti.
VW Alltrack? Which engine did you go for? How's it feel to drive?
Yeah my mates had a few 205s with an Mi16 swap between them. One of them also had the equivalent Mi16 BX too
Yep, We got the 2.0 TDI, 170bhp with the 6sp DSG.
I’ve literally driven it around town twice so far, but it’s great to drive. I’m not quite used to the DSG or the size of it yet so reversing up the drive was interesting
MI16 was the same block so straight easy swap 120bhp to 160bhp
T16 was a smaller cc but group b rally.
There was a T16 road car, that looked like an Mi16 with a 2.0 turbo
I had a mi16 bx that had had the engine removed and a I fitted 1.9 turbo diesel. Great interior and handling.
I had a 405 SRi for a while, same rear spoiler but only 2wd / 120 bhp. Nice car though. traded it in for a Rover 620ti
They are still reasonably common here in Aus. Not many in good condition though. I've very nearly bought a few over the years but I don't need another old French thing.
A little inspiration for you... Not an alltrack but you get the idea
I think the 2.0 was introduced in 1992 and this one was registered in Oct '91 so may well be a series one. Been doing some reading over night and I do really like the idea of restoring it... that would mean figuring out who owns it and them agreeing to sell it to me for a reasonable amount.
There's no MOT information about it online which means the earliest it was last on the road was 15 years ago.
The drivers window was open so I'll stick my head in today to see if there any clues.
howmanyleft tells me there are only 7 of any variant of the 405 mi16 taxed and on the road.
My bro briefly had a boggo spec 405 and it was honestly the most horribly plasticy interior I've ever experienced, rancid!
My contemporaneous 205 was solid though, so it wasn't a blanket Peugeot thing
