Classic dragway billets? ! no way!

• #59153
yes full respray! exhaust is awesome, not too boomy at all. dump valve for silly turbo noises might be a bit ott but i love it
-
• #59154
At 14k that looks cheap to me if it is a real turbo.

Only car that those wheels suit.

And interestingly enough almost all other alloys look shit on 900's. I remember seeing 900 tri spokes work quite well on a 90's Cal look Beetle but maybe if i find a picture i'll change my mind.

My thinking too...technically you'd be saving money not spending it.

Good to know. That’s confidence boosting, but still haven’t found one that doesn’t give me the jeebies.
You working on the car yourself? How easy is it to work on if space was say..a little less private?
You documenting the build anywhere? -

I'd want to look at it, very closely.

It doesn't sound like it. Ad mentions it was converted from an automatic, and then mentions fitting of the turbo body kit. Also, the fact that it says "Turbo Body" in the title and at no point mentions the turbo engine makes me think it's someones attempt at having a 2002 that looks like a Turbo converted from a regular 2002.
Still cool though @jambon

Looks good!

It is right hand drive, missed that, so it is an over priced 2002 then.

I've done all the jobs myself thus far save for an alternator replacement which I was too busy with work to get done myself but I've been able to schedule all of the other jobs for weekends which has been really enjoyable!
It's really not too bad to work on although I wouldn't fancy it this time of year outdoors as there's a fair bit of disassembly required to put it into "front end service" mode and between having space to store all the parts carefully and some crawly bits to access screws and bolts on the underside it would be a lot more pleasant indoors.
I might actually do a current projects thread for it as it's grown legs enough to make for some interesting enough reading I suppose!

Thanks.
Might do a fucked up Gundam version now with hyper vents.

Fooken do it mate, even if I’m the only one reading it.
I work on motorbikes in winter so a car can’t be so bad. If it get an R53, means consolidating my bikes into 1 to rule them all. Something absurd and Italian.I’d very much like to see how you proceed with yours, not gonna like, drillium on the bonnet ain’t my cup of tea, but you’ve accomplished it with panache!

+1 on the current project thread. I always like to read about other peoples car builds.

What about this diagonally driving eHummer?

If you like wheels give JDMDistro a subscribe.
It's like JDM ASMR.

I presume you know about juicebox? Probably equally invested in his AE86 as project binky.
-
• #59172
I don't actually but I shall Google! There's a chap on one of the Mini Owner groups doing a Subaru AWD conversion in an R50 Mini but doing the worst job of documenting it. I'd love to see him do a Binky style production...

Once again I say Meh, when you modify an integrale floor pan for a Lancia Y10 body then you are talking...
-
• #59174
I feel that too often, when you'd just like a bit more detail. This is that guys AE86

I have just bought a bmw 525i touring. very tidy, 80k miles.
i feel like i have let the side down
It somehow seems to look more Japanese than the Honda E.
