I got these recently and thought I'd risk a readers wives.....
I have to drop the Mrs off for the start of Paris-Brest-Paris
Maybe best not to avoid Paris then...
Garmin Dashcam 55, great quality... Now I've had my initial fun with it I can forget about it... Will be toplelz to document some crazy Queensland driving...
Well I finally got the car home after driving it 750 km this weekend and sleeping in the back of it! It wants a few things doing but so far it’s an epic car to drive.
Took the 911 out for a little zip through the lanes, somewhat ashamed of not having driven it for ages.
Really underlined that there's a significant difference between a fast car and a sports car.
Did you bung it into a hedge?
Seamlessly from hedge to porn...........some shiny toys in central London today.
No pics of the 356 next to the red breakdown machine?
No breakdown vehicles around when I was there but I didn't hear it running :)
Preferred these two Porsche's personally.
superb, but the 356b coupe!
That second silver one (‘Snowden’?) looks backwards.
That 037. Oof!
Hah that’ll be it.
An eBay search alert awakens from a slumber so deep I’d forgotten I’d ever set it. Years hath passed with ne’er a glimpse. Behold the majesty of this beast:
Looks good on those wheels. I've not seen another on the 3SDM's.
Argh, bloody volvo has now got a new clutch again. In two minds right now but probably going to sell it before anything else breaks and get a plug in hybrid from one of the asian brands. Ugly and expensive but plenty of virtue signalling and hopefully reliable. I need to figure out which models can have tow hooks mounted.
What I'd really like is this: https://sonomotors.com/en/sion/
But they won't be available for at least another year.
I fitted one clutch to mine and I hope it’s still going strong. Are you towing a lot with yours?
Love the thinking but 250km range is :(
is plenty for almost all of the people, most of the time.
I recently had a chat with a (retired) guy who is resolutely against electric cars.
Range anxiety fuelled his apprehension. Turns out he runs an old, over-engined, petrol BMW.
Doesn't drive it much. Less than 100 miles a week. His longest, regular journey is just 30 miles. He admits he gets poor mpg.
His range anxiety is for 'other people'. As he replayed the conversation in his mind, and I, helpfully chipped in with the (much) reduced VED for electric vehicles in the UK,
he started to ponder whether he should look again at replacing his non-ULEZ compliant BMW with a cheap to run electric car.
I'm certain your circumstances are much different.
