  • Testatraforare, just rolls off the tongue doesn't it ;)

  • Oh dear, I've created a monster. A monster I tell you! It's devouring every bike related thread in it's way and there's nothing we can do to stop it. Run! Run for your lives!!!

In other news; it's ironic that I started this thread to stop a bike thread going off topic.
Scott; I like you, I respect what you do, a lot, but I think you are wrong. If all we talked about on here was bikes I'd bugger off; if every bike thread stayed serious and on-topic it would probably be less interesting; I spend all day on a bike, my whole working life has been on a bike, sometimes I like to talk about other stuff and on this forum I have found a bunch of people who are generally interesting, funny and like minded. I don't think I'd find the same on, say, a bird-watching forum. Or, probably, on a car forum.
There's loads of stuff about bikes on here and then there's the rest of it; I like both. The things I don't like, I don't read. Respect is one thing, reverence is another and I can do without the latter.
Cheers everyone I am off to soak in a hot bath and think about.... well, not bikes.

  • love del boys ride :]

  • Horrible, they were made just up the road from where I lived up until a few months back, even without the BTTF "replica" kit they're horrible, when they get to 8.8mph they fall apart and go on fire.

  • Remember seeing someone who put a Hayabusa engine in one of those try to around a corner, that was fun, really should've fitted a roll-cage first.

Should have done it backwards; much more stability.

  • 4 wheels FTW.

You'd be surprised - Bill Oddie is an embarrassment to the twitching community.
Then again Will, I never had you down as much of a bird man...

  • haha really? in relation to what? :] do tell!

    To you, of course...

    Beggars can't be choosers.

One: I don't know which post of mine you edited to say that.
Two: I have no idea what point you're trying to make.
Three: I don't recognise the acronym 'efa'.
Four: Frankly, I'm finding you a little creepy.

  • To you, of course...

    awww sweettttt

Haha, I edited the post something along the lines of, they should've tried it the other way round, about the Reliant/Hayabusa idea.
I changed the post to say, they shouldn't have. As it's a pretty dangerous/stupid idea.
EFA - Edited For Accuracy, apologies, I haven't seen the acronym on this forum so should've explained it.
    Ouch, that hurt.

  • Any of you had experience of Imprezas? Been thinking of buying one as a replacement for my 205 gti. They seem to have a good reputation?

OK. My own point was just that three-wheelers handle better if the two driven wheels are at the front, like the 1930s Morgan. Reliant Robins are more stable in reverse.

morning Paul ! which one? A couple of my friends in NZ have them, the WRX & STI models are VERY popular throughout Australasia , mainly with the younger guys, it depends which one your interested in and if speed if your buy?.. the WRX STI 330s which was just released at the British International Motor Showis a bad boy! At 325 bhp in 4.4 sec fueled by a turbocharged flat 4 "Boxer" this one is a beast... I love manuals and this 6 spd will keep any speed demon happy at a top spd of approx 155 mph- perfect for london ;]

Hey Bella, I am an Impreza virgin, don't know much about them have just heard thier reputation and the fact my son reckons they are great cars. I've seen a STi type R for sale, its a '96 model. Looks quite nice. It's a grey import from Japan. Got the metallic blue paint and gold wheels(which I am not really into,I prefer silver or alloys) From what I have seen on the net they are quite rapid motors. did you make it over to London? I never got to meet you at North Drinks :-(

Ive been delayed with work but ill be around over xmas/new year, not sure if norths takes a break over the holidays? but ill look forward to catching up with you then.

I know the one you are referring too, bucket seats, a WRC championship emblem?, manual, air-conditioning, gold STi alloy wheels.... 1 of my friends had one and had no probs with it, Ive not heard any negs in relation to them...get it AA checked first :]

  • subaru impreza WRX: the first choice of ram-raiders since 1997.

(they are fucking quick for the money).

  • Cheers, my GTI is a different era car but is still pretty nippy, don't think I am ready for a boring saloon car just yet. Am not into racing just like the idea of having a bit of ooomph under my foot. Not that I would use it round London but when I go home the A roads of Cornwall and Devon and pretty empty of cars and cameras.

@ Bella, I think there maybe a short break over Christmas at Norths but I am a bit out of touch at the moment. Haven't been for a few weeks as I have been ill. Missed Duncans birthday party too. Yesterday was my first ride on a bike in 4 weeks.
