  • i know this might not be the right place for it but i havent a clue as to where to look first or pricing and such. I am looking at getting one for the girlfriend so hope you guys can help.

Disclaimer: ive tried getting her on a fixed and it just doesnt work so on to this then.

  • there is actuallty a Dutch Bikes place down here in Brighton.

  • Bobbin bikes, islington

And Dutch website for second hand bikes.

    http://fietsen.tweedehands.net/citybikes-tourfietsen/

Also do a search for "Oma Fiets" (Granma Bike). Which is the traditional one you're talking about.

    Good luck!

    Yeah, a female-centric bike shop. And, they've got a website http://www.bobbinbicycles.co.uk/.

  • It's probably cheaper to buy one in Amsterdam and have it shipped back. If you know someone their like

The stolen ones you can get for 20 euros - I don't condone this
The none stolen market ones you can get for around 40 euros

  • My Mrs has got a Bobbin that I'd quite like her to part with (takes up too much space and is too heavy for her to carry down from our 4th floor flat, so she never rides it). An offer of £200 would probably do the trick, it is in really good condition.

it has been ridden twice since:

Brilliant T4. how tall is the missus? just want to make sure it fits. is an offer of 150 too insulting?

  • I spoke to her a little earlier and she is 'thinking about it', which judging by her tone most probably means no. I'll let you know if she changes her mind though. That's the problem with Dutch bikes - the ladies love 'em and so can't stand to say goodbye.

  • its for a christmas present so let me know asap. otherwise ill keep on the lookout for others. cheers.

  • oh just nip over to Holland and grab a Dutch lady, and she's sure to bring her bike with her, and she'll have no bother taking it up and down the stairs, Job jobbed

  • try these guys:

    www.tourdeville.co.uk
their shop opens this saturday, I have had a preview of the stock, quite a lot of vintage dutch gems.
50 lamb lane (off london fields)
