same here, had some guy literally try to tap my back wheel on a quite side street, then he leaned on his horn and reved his engine while i was waiting at a red light, he even got out of his car and started yelling at me. All of this beacuse i had the never to go past him while he did an illegal 20 point u turn. I was in a bad mood, and had my hand on my d-lock in case he deiced to make my day.

Its times like to day when I want a D and not my steel cable locked round my waist. The "Hang on a minute whilst I unlock my lock before I hit you in the face with it" line tends to put you on the back foot...
I don't normally mind cars though. Its pedestrians that I hate, closely followed by Taxis and Minicuntcabs.

I am in complete agreement with you. I just cycled home, met my girlfriend outside my flat (waited ages for her as she was on bus), then ran to the front door in an effort to have the door open for her when she got there, only to fall arse-over-tit and land on my pedal, gouging an nice big gash in my back.
FUCKING RAIN. -

shouldn't she be looking after you for your valiant effort?

I rode 12 miles from Peckham to Twickenham today in the freezing cold and the pouring rain and I had masses of fun.. I even had to stand/sit about in the cold and wet for hours after, whilst watching rugby..

Looking back I enjoyed the ride almost as much.. Having checked it out, it's more like 14 miles though, even better!

Uh Uh. Not if you have bad circulation. Your extremities (namely toes and fingers) just get really fucking cold...

i dont mind cold and wet as i can just wear the right clothes, but the wind at the moment is driving me crazy. weve just got the first of the proper winter winds, and nothing is more demoralising than mashing away to get nowhere fast.
i spend most evenings in the pub, well, technically in the garden where i can smoke, so i need to wear a fairly warm jacket when im out and about. i am enjoying the fact that i can now wear my coat on my commute without exploding from overheating.

-Its freezing, my finger nearly fell off it was so cold.
- I'm soaked (not that that makes a change)
- I nearly got killed by a taxi popping a U-turn whilst I'm along side it...
- I nearly got killed by a half blind old woman who as doing some very dangerous lane changing at the bank intersection whilst I'm on her inside.
- I've pulled a muscle in my thigh skipping out the way of the above old lady.
I'm with hippy on this... happens all the time for me.. (if it's raining, and it's raining all the time), except for the pulling of muscles.. that'll get better when you get stronger :)

As much as I love this rain for reducing friction and letting me go faster for less effort, and the night for their being less traffic, riding back from Hyde Park Corner just now was fucking shite:
-Its freezing, my finger nearly fell off it was so cold.
And I now have to do the tedious exercise set top me by the physio to try and fix my knee cap...

On a constructive not, if anyone is heading out now watch out. All the ding bats seem to be out.
