  • That'd work though wouldn't it? What with the classic holding your nose and biting into an onion school boy trick.

Fact learnt over the weekend (in fact I shouldn't reveal this now, as it'd be a great pint winner later):

Raise your right foot 12 inches off the ground.
    Do clockwise circles with it.
With your right hand draw out a number six in the air.
Your foot will involuntarily start going anti clockwise.

its true! i just tried it. i almost feel like i'm there now.

    have fun kids.

Thats really fucking weird! But true.

Good night tonight people. Just goes to show that South's rule's!

Merry Christmas everyone, and see you all soon.

Ps. Thank's Snowy for all your hard work and I owe you a bike service.

  • yeah, thanks Chris for sorting all this out!

  • Great night. As always, good to catch up with familiar faces and meet new ones. Good tunes, good beers and a chilly ride home - excellent.

Feel shit now, mind. Still - coffee, a resolve, and hours of tedious meeting and all will be well (probably).

  • Great night, loved the santa, food was excellent - good to see you all
Have a great xmas and will see whoever is still about at the C&H next Monday - hoops I owe you a xmas burger!

  • good night people. top venue. good food. great company. we even had a big red santa! just wished it wasnt a school night.

big daddy wayne showed me a clean pair of clipless heels on the way home. he's def in much better shape than meself. mind you he doesnt have beef bourguignon and heavy brownie+pistacho icecream in him. ;p

thanks snowy for doing the run-around.

  • That was a great night and good to see so many familiar faces. Santa was a pleasant surprise, especially for Jonny.

Big thanks to Chris for organising it all and to the staff at the Prince Regent for their warm welcome.

  • Never fail to have a good time at anything South's related (or indeed anything through this forum)
Great collection of people last night - good to see the usual suspects and meet some new ones.
Haven't gone through my pics yet, hopefully get to them tonight.

    Merry Christmas all!

  • looking forward to the Santa and BDW picture!

  • hehe me too.
"A Pilllage People Christmas", brought to you by SWB.

Great to see you cats last night.

  • Well organised fellas good to see all the well fed happy faces

    Merry Christmas!

  • Okay, time to 'fess up:

How many of you went guts up on the world's slipperiest and most SPD-unfriendly stairs?

  • I did a sideways skid but managed to remain upright. No-one saw.

  • thanks to all for the lovely night. good ride home with scully and hillbilly.
the food was great as well as the company.

  • another top evening and kudos to snowy for making it happen - was slightly worried when Santa whispered that he was 'coming down my chimney'

Desi, sadly that had more to do with the fact that you had a full chrimble dinner and 5 pints of ale inside ya rather than my natural athleticism

  • Well done snowy, it was a TOP night. Nice to see the usual suspects and meet a couple of new faces. Still didn't manage to meet some of you, it was one of those nights when it all goes a bit quickly and you realise you never chatted to X, Y or Z at all.

It was wicked. I've decided I'm definitely moving to South London by the end of '09. All you north, east, and westies people are just LAME for not coming. Murtle you tightwad you shoulda been there. As for riding a few miles afterwards, HTFU you twats. There, I've said it. Coming back with tika and hillybilly was just a lovely end to a great evening, the miles zipped by in fine style.

Thanks to all of you there for good company.

Big Red Merrychristmas - Me. With a nice glass of Balvene in my hands too. Feck.

Good fun last night peeps. Cheers to Snowy and Cornelius for the organisation and top choice of a venue.

Clefty - we must progress the idea of Slide and Prejudice - our period costume drama on fixed gear bikes.

  • My head hurts, but that was **lots **of fun.

  • I thoroughly enjoyed myself, i have a hangover to prove it. It was nice to meet some new people and mingle with the old*. snowy you're a leg-end!x

most of you are older then me :D

  • good stuff last night, big thanks to snowy and cornelius for getting it together. BRM for the outfit.

those stairs. yes they were slippy. will leave Dammit to confirm but I think i slipped down from about half way. luckily my spine is made out of HTFU.

skoota. thanks for the (ever)afters dude.

    merry xmas all.

  • Gutted I missed this, sounds a good'un and in my old local!

    My elbow really hurts.

Loved seeing you all. Thank you very much Snowy. Brilliant night.

  • that will teach you for pretending to do a comedy fall when we were going down the stairs of doom, then actually falling!

Aroogah - My Mr D'arcy what a large Gear Inch you have.

  • Aroogah - My Mr D'arcy what a large Gear Inch you have.

    gasp! swoon!

you KNOW I'm a prime candidate for period drama ridiculousness.

  • As everyone has said, awesome night!

Was great to get to know some people better, I shall have to partake in some actual south beers evenings after the festive period..

Thanks to snowy and corny for organising, couldn't have been a smoother night
