There are two by-elections coming up shortly (maybe 3 if you include the MP who is currently excluded from parliament). Those might add to the mood of discontent amongst Tory MPs worried about their own prospects whenever the next general election might be.

It seems that prior to May going they actually held a vote on whether to remove the 12 month restriction. However, it was agreed that if May went they wouldn't count the results and she went.
