  • Hmmm.. I find myself struggling to come up with a term to use.... I've been using rioters most, I think... What do you suggest?

    'cunts' seems popular.

well, if we want to discourage them, "battymen" would work.

but I'll go with pricks or idiots.

It's just people, they are rioting, so rioters.

  • rice seems to be priority item

  • Here's a nice example of the laziest of lazy journalism that pervades during these types of events.

Is technology to blame for the London riots?

I would imagine that somewhere, someone wrote an article titled "Is witchcraft to blame for the great fire of 1666?"

I remember journalists saying as far back as 1999 that Reclaim the Streets actions were organised 'over the Internet'. That was simply not true. As far as I could tell, it was then, and probably is now, people trying to interpret events in ways that they themselves understood, based on what technology they used (e.g., as journalists at the time), i.e. projecting their own views on what's happening. As soon as you become aware of that and question yourself a little, you can't really persist in projecting.

    man dem love him rice

  • are you directing your minions from a secrect location?

My skull shaped island in the Pacific is being spring cleaned currently so I am having to direct action from a telephone box round the back of Oxford Street

I don't blame those kind of leaders around the world, they just doing their own interest.

I blame the plebs who became the servants of them.

  • The Iranian official also asked independent human rights organizations to investigate the killing in order to protect the civil rights and civil liberties.

    Um, what?

  • Mehmanparast asked the British government to start dialogue with the protesters and to listen to their demands in order to calm the situation down.
My favourite part. "we'd like a 50inch flat screen, couple of blackberrys and some massive bags of rice"

  • When cycling through Notting Hill this morning on Chepstow Villas the only evidence of events last night was a molten wheelie bin and a wrecked Lamborghini, MikeC was however nowhere to be seen.

  • Can't quite belive there's so many armchair socialists who're defending the looters.
You're fucking idiots. You obviously don't own any property nor families. You have also never been outside and faced those "youths". Bunch of stupid cunts.

    This

Right now it's all about which ends will do more damage and loot more. Nothing more than a game of Grand Auto Theft.

  • Trying to decide if I should leave work now and leave the bike here. Sounds like it's going to kick off again at lunch time. Any other news?

Lots of sirens at the IKEA in Edmonton. They love a good battle there. Update to follow.

‎"We have received police intelligence there is youths gathering in Lower Marsh and they may be some problems in this area...."
Seems it was a meeting point as they've sped off in convoy with at least 5 riot vans in there. More sirens heading west on North Circular. Can't be starting this early can it?

Shopkeepers in Deptford are working on the same assumption.

Probation officer friend has been told to shut shop due to police info that riots will be happening at 1pm in Lewisham and Catford.

  • bloomsbury's alright yea?
