"Those London Lights": Late Night Ride, Thurs Dec 4th

Good stuff Caleb.. the route won't be revealed until the night, it's a bit winding anyway so quite laborious googlemapping it. I did a first proper practice of it tonight for timing etc. and it's a good'un. Harsh on the tyres /wheels / ass in some places but two of us got through it without problems (though two pavements were annoyingly slippery after the shit weather and I stacked it! The Refuses are going on tonight..) Cheers to furious tiles for coming along to get it memorised together - so he'll be able to bring up the rear or crack ahead if the group splits.

As for the knee at the moment - meh.... been better..

T'is a good little night ride , just as long as we steer clear of the little slatted bridge. The troll that lives under it can take your wheel in the blink of an eye;-)

yeah that troll feeds on spokes and forks.. we'll definitely be avoiding that one..

Great stuff, ride is now closed. Fifty is probably right at the top end of what should feasibly be going on at this time of night..so I think that's enough people for this date. Happy to do it again for others who might be interested at a later date but for this first one we've already reached maximum for the ride.

also to limit numbers you could just organise it 2 days before, short notice less people can come. obviously this has other pitfalls, i.e. no-one can come but i guess it would have the desired effect.
