  • You should definately push him to start doing that, I am looking to start a new build next year and a road frame for under £200 is a nice number. I'm guessing he would do forks as well then?

He would yes, but like I said its an unfamiliar market for him and hes worried he wont even sell 100 frames. I think people showing interest is important, then some help with the design & promotion of the item is key. As the speedway frames have always been sold on a downlow local way of the niche sport.

  • if he made a track frame for £100 i think it would be hard not to sell them!...
    id buy 3 haha

  • Am I the only one who's not sure he could sell 100? I would hate to push someone into a risky venture!

  • Perhaps a word with a few bike shops down here that sell a lot of track stuff?

  • nothing?

  • not heard anything back from him yet, but when i spoke to him he only said 10

  • I think I may get of my arse and help him with appropriate designs, I am a design engineering student for what its worth!

If they are decent frames, with a little uniqueness to them (to set em apart from unipacks & charge plugs) I am sure he could sell a few hundred. Maybe two hundred is a good amount, a bath of small & large.

  • I would love to have a Bianchi Pista Concept-style frame from next to nowt sound gorgeous but best to stick to classic design frame for a first built to be honest, I think the best way to go is to design the frame a bit like the IRO one, but with a more track geometry?

    oi... (non)leathal cunt bag....
please refrain from using the words Charge Plug, and Unipack in the same sentence.
    cock wagon.

  • Sweet pedals

  • actually a lo-pro without the actual geometry of one would be brilliant, like that MASH Cinelli bike;

  • He should make somthing like this, it's dribbling. (for an OTP)

    cock wagon.

You gotta admit they look similar, although quality may vary.

  • Perfect.

(loose the chrome and integrated seat-clamp to save money)

  • perhaps with a bit of a sloped top tube for a lo-pro style without the discomfort of an actual lo-pro?

  • i love the forward sloping top tubes, but hate backwards.

  • That would look awsome, it's not to little nor to much

  • pretty much, but it's not designed for road/track thought, only for speedway, all he have to do is simply change the measurment into a track-specific one and volia, I think.

  • Has there been any more progress these frames? This and the other thread seem to have died down. I'd be interested in a cheap frame as I'm looking to start out riding fixed but would prefer to avoid OTP bikes.

  • there's nothing wrong with some of the OTP bikes despite how common it is.

  • bump.
so did the project ever get off the ground?

  • ....so did anything come of the LFGSS directed AW bike?

They are at least making what they call a City Bike with a little more rake than their speedway track bike.
