I went down to the pavement the second day after go fixed, pedal strike, I was still with the huge MTB pedals and took the turn like in a freewheel bike.
my advice don't stop riding, don't quiet.
I hope you are OK now.

I remember my first ever class in school, we drew a big red 'R' on our right hand, and a big green 'L' on our left hand, to remind us which way is left and which way is right.
Perhaps you could draw a big black 'P' on each knee, to remind you to Pedal Pedal Pedal Pedal Pedal...

I'm going to go against the grain here, and suggest you spend some time deliberating trying not to pedal whilst riding.
Left hand pedal threads are reverse psychology.

How can you forget to pedal?
You are reminded in an instant and all you have to do is let your legs go.. weeeeeeeeeeeeeeee.. -

and how does momentarily stopping pedalling make you do a somersault-style crash.
There's more to this than meets the eye, methinks. -
• #24
as above. just sit and put all your weight on the saddle and let your legs go. + keep riding, you'll get used to it.

oww well that hurt... I guess i won't be riding for a week or so.. time to review what went wrong.
From what i recall.. I was pedaling along.. putting the hammer down.. got tired.. forgot i was on a fixed gear..
then somersaulting through the air looking up at the sky wondering whats about to run over me...
A.) a bus
B.) a truck
c.) a taxi
it was C...luckly instead of running me over, gave me a lift back to my house, which was lucky cos i didn't fancy the 8 miles considering I couldn't even walk.
I need some helpful tips and hints to help me remember when im on a fixed gear I have to keep pedaling... whats the secret?
