London to Southend Route query

Hi all im doing a personal challenge of the London to Southend cycle ride departing from victoria park (same start as the BHF ride) but my main question was is there a dedicated cycle path along the A13 the rest of the way once you get past Dagenham?

A few people have said to me they used this route the whole way as a more direct route but didnt state if there is a cycle lane or how it is to cycle on the A13 etc? Otherwise it seems that the A1307 and quieter routes will be necessary,

Any help would be much appreciated :)

mark, search the threads and find the southend ride we did. avoid all the big A roads pretty much. you will spend more time navigating but enjoy nice quiet roads. good luck with the ride dude
