Anyway, you can frequently find Teenslain there stalking Daisy Haggard and cracking out some smooth jazz licks. I don't like the effra's newish coat of crap paint.

She's much prettier in the flesh, I probably would... And the paint's alright, I still preferred it when it was split into two bars tho'...

I just hate whitey...

I quite like the integrationist removal of the divider, but miss the dominos corner and the fact that the two bars had different vibes. The new coat of paint is a bit too property show neutral for me and I preferred it when there was a hole in the roof.

This just makes me think how much I love the effra. I've been going there for eight years and took my wife there for one of our first dates almost six years ago.

The dominos corner was great, that's my favourite side of the bar... Never went in the other side 'til they got the big screen in...

They had the football on a tv out in the garden* a few weeks ago. Quality.

Random Brixton bar related question.

Is the Dogstar still live and kicking? Had some fun times there, and a lot of other times that I have absolutely no memory of.

Dogstar is still bloody awful... The Mexican food's good tho', the guy who knocks it up used to be at the George Canning/Hobgoblin/Hootanany...

The Mexican food's gone from the Dogstar (its only saving grace is that its open til 4am on weeknights). One of the Carib places does food there now.

Surely if Teenslain is partaking of refreshments in a licensed establishment then he can only be found outside smoking a fag?

That has always been it's only saving grace. I haven't been there for about 9 years!
Not once did I turn up there sober, it was always the last port of call!

Torture Garden tonight!

Excellent, think I'll hang around outside with a can of beer and watch everyone squirm in... It's a cheap night out...

I remember being on a night out somewhere and walking back to mine. Me and a mate stopped at the little mobile cafe outside for a coffee about 5am - loads of freaks all leaving and loads of right horny looking sluts all stumbling out. Now you KNOW they were all fruity and looking for an orgy to go to!

Also remember leaving my front door and my next door neighbour nd his wife were leaving for TG - BUSTED!!
He had a big crombie covering his Trojan kit! He had the helmet, calf strapped leather sandles on the lot!!!!
