Guildford Crits Wednesday 9th July

Any one up for watching some good old home grown crit racing Wednesday 9th July?
Racing from 7pm on the High Street in Guildford.

I wanted to go so bad but can't race as i am still on cat4 and the race is only e123

Wouldn't mind getting a train or riding there to watch it... but not with this weather :(

if the weather brakes i might have a ride down, the cobbled streets make it fun!

I wonder if they gonna climb that crazy hill in the town centre - Purley Hill? Forgot the name

they did last year? real short circuit but 20 times up that hill takes its toll?

The route is up the high street, on the cobbles. I only wish this fukin rain would stop!

Went to Guilford and watched from first floor of Farrier's. Felt sorry for the riders, although they handled the rain condition really well. The course is small with each circuit only about 50 seconds. Sigma's Matt Stevens did well, and no. 86 laped everyone in the first race, didn't get his name though. Great atmosphere and closeness to the riders, would definitely go next year.

50/14, saw you there and somehow managed to not say 'Hi'. V.Sorry. I was however chatting to Stephen Roche (No really I was !) He told of his ill fitting shorts on day 1 of L2P that caused a 'chaffing' issue, so I say to him: 'That's nothing! That 50/14 nutter over there turned up to my 137 mile training ride in Jeans! HTFU you Giro/Tour/Worlds triple champ! ;-)
The riding was OK, I was really happy with tyre choice. I ran Michelin ProGrip at 85psi, no traction problems. (Unlike lots of the fallers) I was outclassed (and lapped) by the winner of the thirds race but managed 4th place. It is hard but great fun, put it in your diary for next year! FE

Dulwich Paragon are hosting Chertsey on Saturday. Anyone going? Looks like it might be raining.

Chapeau for fourth place FE, I didn't recognise you with your clobber on. Saw Antonia from the ride who was watching beside me. I've given up the jeans BTW!
