try looking up gear inches there have been lots of threads on them already at it is a more useful number compared to just considering the rear cog which is useless to know without the chairing size.

Completely stupid. Plus what are you thinking about as normal. I have 6 ratios I use often for different disciplines. Which do you consider normal. For a track bike I'd guess that velodrome usage is "normal", and your poll doesn't go low enough.
