Maybe not so much anymore but skateshoes, baggy jeans and tight t shirts was the killer look for girls back in the 90's.
Exactly. I'm talking about back in the 90's. I Used to know a skater girl who would rock a short sleeve shirt with the top button done up. Hawt. Fuck that shit now. It's thin pins and pumps. lawl. -

1993 started dying my hair. Always peroxided to fuck first to get it mad bright and intense. Then either Pink hair/ Blue hair/ Green hair. Never mixed colours though. Was all about the roots coming through. Used to put glue in there too sometimes. WTF?
I have photo proof too.

First pair of skate shoes I ever had 87/88. Had to beg my mum to lend me money to get them. Before that I had cheapo shoes from K-mart. Used to think they were amazing. I remember the ankle section was solid. I spray painted them yellow a few years later. Half of it flaked off on the first use. My Mum & Dad thought I was fucking nuts.

I was looking for a pair of them in that colour a while ago, i think they're awesome

I hate these shoes so much
I was working in a skate shop when they first came out
kids used to drive me insane wanting them.Just been digging out old skate shoes and just found these in the back of the wardrobe. I rocked these around 2002 I think? What the hell was I thinking!!
Osiris d3 skate shoes

D3's are the ugliest skate shoe ever made but also the most successful skate shoe ever made at the same time. Pretty sure Dave Mayhew doesn't have to work ever again because of that thing.
My fashion disasters range from a new wave side parting sweep/skinhead through uni to rocking out JNCO 60inch bottom pants and thinking I was cool when I was 14

I did plenty of that too, plus some mixing, and random patchwork disasters.
Also tried the dying my hair silvery-grey thing. Fantastic: wake up 20 years old, and looking okay; dye hair grey; look in the mirror and see pensioner. Fail.

Did anyone ever have a pair of Hogs? They were like Converse but with an angry pig on the side. Rad.

I used to love my pair(s) of D3's, and boxers before them.
Kostons and Sals where the pinnacle skate shoes.
I had a pair of the Osiris shoes...white and red...one of those shoes that looked kinda good off, but when you put on, you can instantly see just how big they are...I think I wore mine about 5 times only...tfm - total fucking moonboots
the Koston 2's were the dopest imo...the original black and yellow ones were awesome...I couldn't afford them as they were £90, and I was at school with no job...but when I did really well in some exams, my parents bought them for me hehe...loved those shoes, and is one of the few items from my past that I wish I'd bought stock of, so that I could still be whipping out fresh pairs even now...

thinking I was cool when I was 14
everyone thought they were cool when they were 14. in reality, noone was or ever will be cool at 14. fact.
and D3's. ohmy.... you know in crocodile dundee when the bag snatcher, er snatches the ladies bag and mick picks up a tin of beans and throws it at him and it knocks him out down the street. it wasnt a tin of beans. it were a D3. terrible shoe. i also used to sell them and hated the kids and adults(!) who bought them. could use them as door stops to keep the fire doors open when the fire extinguisher wasnt heavy enough....

koston 2's were the best... 1's too.. and you know the best thing? Lakai is re-issueing the koston ones this summer!

They're making black ones, white ones and the OG navy with gum soled ones. Ever since I saw the samples I've been waiting for them to hit the stores.
They're a bit slimmer than the eS ones but seem as comfy. And those D3's were sooo ugly but they were absolute bestsellers with non-skaters over here until they got copied by Buffalo:

They were British converse copies made by Pacer, who also made the Neil Dans model deck.
Me, I've worn Vans since '84. This summer a pair of Vans Ferris, in white.
