  • Yeah, brakeless on the downside of the beacon was pretty hectic.
when we did it, my legs started cramping coming into brighton.

  • Glad I managed it before it got wet.

  • still in brighton enjoying the rest of a dirty weekend. ;-)
didn't get away until 6-30 saw 2 fixed, 1 pompino late om and a lovely colnago at the top of turners downhills were fucking scary my front pads are worn to the bone
did in in 4-30 which was better than my geared time last year
saw the aftermath of a nasty stack coming down ditchling, roadie being dragged off the road, bloody and unconcios hope he's ok was about 12pm
no jonny i didnt make it up ditchling!
thighs are killing today, gears for me next year methinks
did however thoroughly enjoy it apart from the ill advised decision to fit new red ourys the night before, then having them slip off in the middle of a climb - i suffered for my vanity!

sorry for spelling on my n800

  • good stuff clefty, and i wasn't being funny about ditchling, 42x15 and that wonderwoman avatar would be an understatement. glad you got there alive though kid and still enjoying the seaside.

  • FYI

A chap from my work cycled this on sunday (geared) came a cropper and broke both his arms
His mum is now helping him with the essentials.

Good work Giraffe boy, thats a good time.
Aroogah.. where do you store that energy man???

  • shit greasy, that is terrible news. was talking about your injury to a some of the guys at the end of the ride on saturday and regaling them with the story of a mate of mine who had just moved in with his new girlfriend. proceeded to break both his arms coming off his bike (in Brighton actually) and then having to rely on her for the, uhh, essentials.

hope he heals quick dude and that you are well on the mend

  • Cheers Jonny, it's coming on strong. i need to make a few alterations to the bike to make it easier to ride in the short term but i'll know more friday.

Hearing about this kids accident made me feel bad for asking my other half to shower me - i got through to Tuesday before she caught me in the kitchen cooking with both hands.
