Don't know if your interested but I'm going to order a pair if ELVS Deep V's from the states because its the only place you can get them. http://www.bikemania.biz/Velocity_Deep_V_700cc_Road_Rims_p/velocity_rim_road_deepv.htm
$50US postage for a pair, bt you can even get them in wood grain if you want. Making an order soon if you want save on the postage. -

wont you get charged on import?
or have you made sure they will declare item as a gift? -

@ jDB: doesn't customs wade in and make things more pricey though? Have you done it before? Might save some bucks if you ask around to see what happened to someone else.
I saw those wooden ones once....mmmmm..

Yeah but no but... if I was after a set of ordinary old Deep-V's then yeah would be cheaper to buy here, but I NEED some ELVS ones, which are only sold in the states and this is the only shop that sells them AFAIK. Total HHSB rims and I don;t think I'll be running into another set out by the bike shed.

Cavendish cycles and (unfortunately) Brick lane bikes stock a full range of Deep V rims. Just buy the rims (£32 each) a pair of hubs (£40 for cheapies up to, what, £150 for Phil's) a set of spokes and hand them to the store or one of our famous lfgss wheel builders to build up. Easy.
