  • Also, I'm thinking about another road wheelset for my Claud Butler 853 so I can keep the RS30 wheels on my Donohue and use both without needing to change them over.

Will I do any better than R501 C30s for the same price, c.£75? Seems ridiculously cheap.

You can barely get any wheel for that price, much less a better one.

  • Je penséed as much.

  • Where are you getting R501-C30 for £75?

  • They need better SEO :-)

  • Black seat post / gruppo away from dope demand.

    King Bee

  • ^^It was the first result for me!

I thought for a minute I could get the extra 10% off for spring as well but no. I might pull the trigger if my Ebay sales go well, but the thought of tyres being almost as much again is making me hesitate.

If you search for R501-C30. If you search for R501 30mm, they don't show up at all.

  • Sloppy.

Thanks for thr King Bee but it's full 600 Ultegra and for The Mavic 3G 8 speed is maximum so the grouppo is period correct. And I already have the DA 8 speed one on my Dale.

Just seen the pictures of the Nag on my computer rather than phone. So good, that saddle is just the glaçage dans le gâteau.

Thanks Tommmmm I appreciate <3 (" La cerise sur le gateau ").

Cerise sur le gateau ("cherry on the cake") as we say in France.

  • Well, that would just be the cherry on top.

  • The UKers will put a cherry on anything.

  • Finished building this today, bought the frame on here a couple of weeks back. Need a longer stem, also got a pair of 7400 hubs in the post for a future wheel build.

    You're thinking of the Belgians*

*Although technically Belgian buns are British, and the Belgian equivalent is a Couque Suisse, which isn't Swiss, being a variety of Viennoiserie related to a Danish without being either Austrian or Danish.

  • wow ! need that ^

  • I need to buy a new cassette for my old roadbike. It has a 7 speed derailleur and downtube shifters but a 8 speed hub. Would you guys recommend buying a 7 speed cassette with a spacer or a 8 speed cassette without the ability to shift to the biggest cog?

  • Get the 7-speed cassette, the spacing is different on the 8 so you won't get indexing on any of the gears. If you don't have indexing at the moment anyway, you might as well get the 8, as you'll be getting an 8-speed chain anyway and your 7-speed friction shifters and dérailleur will probably work fine on the extra sprocket.
