  • Luckily Rodolfo's hair adds another 5cm or so.

unfortunately that doesnt reflect in framesize... and i have short legs to boot!

im approx. four-five hairdo's on btw.. im not faking any length anymore..

  • Whats the best method of stopping a dummy lever from rattling? Campagnolo Record in this case. Have been looking at problem solvers to run 2 levers into one brake but £75 at SJS seems pretty steep.

    This:

I think a search for 'biro spring' will put you in the vicinity of previous discussions.

  • Cheers tester, that led me to a neatly detailed description from upstart using identical levers to be attached to more or less the same bike

  • Isn't he gold, this tester guy, at times...

  • ^ agreed

  • He has his moments

  • Been working on my colnago and turned it into a fixed conversion. I just got hold of a campagnolo 9 speed titanium gruppo which i will be sticking on to the frame as soon as my LBS opens so i can buy some jagwire cables. Any idea what color should i get for the cables, blue or black? i was thinking saddle and bartape to be all black or maybe suede blue.

This is awesome. Please put gears on it.

  • can someone sanity check this for me.

    my current gearing is 48/17

If I change to 49/18 my wheel will move 1/4" in towards the seattube? is that correct? 1/8" for each tooth increase?

Then If I add 1 link to my chain it will move the wheel back 1/2"?

So the wheel will be 1/4" further out from where it started? or about 6mm?

    Am I missing something?

If Chardonnay has 6 apples and gives Barry a gobbie what time will the first train reach bristol?

  • 10.12am.

  • Am I missing something?

Yes. Engineering works between Slough and Maidenhead (Crossrail enabling works) mean she can nosh him off on the back seat of the replacement bus service.

  • Rodolfo is fat. He likes bikes but dislikes riding them.

  • What chainring us that ?

    50% right, 50% wrong.

am thinking bout a new cyclingtrip after graduation to flip that around though..

  • ^^^^^^^
In theory that must be so but if you have critical clearances, for example just room in the rear ends to move forward 1/4" then Sod's Law kicks in and it never quite works as it should. It is one of life's unsolved mysteries along with choosing axle length/bottom bracket shells for early classics.

    Sweet, what's the plan?

  • I need a fixed gear frame with parallel top tube, external headset for 1 1/8,
Steel or aluminium. What are cheapest options except custom mielec?
not with slack angles like Create etc.

  • ^ pretty much, Precursas are actually nice for the price

  • external headset needed
as I have CK headset, you know

  • Sell that? Why build a bike around a headset?
