Cue Tester "just because you can doesn't mean you should"
Indeed, 35c will fit, just feel like crap when you have to pump it up a lots to stop it from squirming too much.
My work here is done

Sadly there was a rear clincher on last week but was too skint ):
.I saw that someone had purchased that and was really hoping to see the batbike appear somewhere double 4-spoked. gutted.

It was just conversion with a freewheel thread and no lockring thread though, non?

flickr have confused me and now i cant get the correct code to embed!
ok think i've got it working:
as it stands on first build:

CK headset and the only paint chip thanks to my impatient self:

My house mate put the pressure on to get this built last week. It has been sitting on my bookshelf for the last sixth months collecting dust. I was patiently waiting for a desirable headset in good condition to pop up on here but thought, fuck it, lets just get it done. ordered the CK and it arrived today at the office turning my bad mood from cough and cold into a joyous, no care in the world unbearable to be around everythings fucking perfect mood for the rest of the day :)
Nothing is permanent as yet. I think this chainset will be going on something else so will be using 75's on here. Seatpost and saddle will probably change also and the intended wheels still need to be built.. so the frame is ready at least!
now i guess it is a current project, not a non starter like some of my others.

Hit share, select BB code and then copy and paste that.

road pedals and risers always confuses me.

Doesn't seem to work...... For me. I don't seem to work.

Exactly the same for me.

^^^ only combo not currently attached to another bike. It's a w.i.p

Me too, was just too poor. Got some other wheels in mind for the batbike now though, should be good.

It was a track converter threaded onto a screw on freewheel hub, I would've used the heavy duty loctite to make it permanent...
There you go, hope it works. Lovely bike by the way!

DIBS!
Can't remember but do you have a Suntour Superbe chainset? Or Ofmega mistral? Something unusually fancy?

suntour :) but i think i will run 75's on it instead. probably use the suntours on the track seeing as they are in impeccable condition

So almost 9 months after picking it up finally stuck some parts-bin stuff on:

Glad to see there's no toe overlap whatsoever, had been a worry that steep headtube. Gonna ride around a few weeks now and see if it's worth putting on some proper parts.

You should get a matching Rigida front wheel. It's not often you get to match a rhubarb & custard paint scheme with rim decals!

• #81819
Dat Gautheron...
-
• #81820
Yeah in addition to that rear rigida I've another pair of rims ready to go (same fluo yellow-pink labels and titanium grey finish). they'll look pretty awesome, just havent decided on hubs yet (low flange 32 hole..).

• #81821
Super rad gautheron

• #81822
Where does one find such a frame?
-
• #81823
One keeps an eye on the french classifieds. Every now and then something interesting (and large) will come up. TBH most frames here tend to be pretty small though.

After a quick little jaunt around town pretty happy with the bike so far. I'd expected it to be nervous accelerating in the drops, my Courtois is all over the place when out the saddle like that. Turns out it's actually really well behaved.
