Also, my talbot 853 Big tyre Road/Cross is looking like this:

Excited! Picking a colour scheme is proving the hardest part.
Strong work.
I'd have a think about brake calipers - on a build like this, I'd be tempted by some avid shorty ultimates.
Also wheels and tyres seem pretty heavy - is that right?

Attach the images directly from your local machine, it's much better than subjecting yourself to the vagaries of cloud hosts.

^^ Was about to ask the same, they looks great with that build, subtly modern and classy.
Apart from the silly comments that I made above, your Roberts is looking very tasty indeed Ncjlee, wheels really compliment one very nice build.

on another note, the "garden" looked like this this afternoon:
https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/11296434/Bike%20show%20offing/2013-08-04%2018.49.21.jpgactually a sad story. this project, a '77 Gazelle Champion Mondial from Reynolds 753 (quite/very rare in original '77 livery) has been lingering since i acquired it like 1,5y ago.
have been gathering parts slowly without any priority in time or money. now ive got everything, i have had to decide to sell the thing due to financing my last semester of studies.
but, NOT before its built and ive done a little ride on her and made some nice pictures to sob at.
enjoyed rubbing her and making her look pwetty. im really loathed to sell..now looks like this on the wall next to '77 twin brother Gazelle Champion Mondial track bike. theyre mixed twins you know..

Yes, if it's an RFC, a simple list will do.

Shorty ultimates are £70 per pair so £140 which is quite a lot..
Yeah the JB blues are 471 each, greens are 350, but little puncture protection in comparison.
Wheelset I think is right...

Ah I see they look great! Are they available as clinchers?
Had a look on alibaba but can't get a price for them.

That is lovely!
what's up with the right brake lever though?

My guess is it's in "brake released" mode. Campy levers can do that
Nice bike!

I did borrow a test saddle to try out from the lbs, but still kind of hard to visualise because of the garish yellow it comes in!
Just went out for a ride and I paid attention to what was bugging me and it feels I need some more support in the middle or less support. I don't know, but all I know is it's not comfortable at the moment. Should I try a saddle with a gap in the middle like a Specialized Toupe?
Did they fit the saddle or you? Same suspect angle as the Rolls... have you tried riding it levelled (with a spirit level)? You might then need to fiddle with your bar angle etc to make it all work together. Worth a go before you start trying others.
My fave saddle is a toupe, which has a big gap down the middle, but I also run a Rolls, a Concor and a B17 on my other bikes...

I fit the saddle myself. I will try levelling it as you suggested.

I changed the stem on my Vitus (992), shorter with a more classic look (old one was a 3ttt 2002 evol)

• #80646
Wow, that is some sharp livery.

I'll just leave this here and reassure everyone that it's very early days yet:

love the Vitus, btw.

Those Tektro cantilevers are actually some of the best I've ridden, despite their price.

the building stalled due to unwilling og campag brake lever holdittothehandlebar thingies. were rust shut and didnt budge, besides after me oiling them up and wacking them with a hammer. which made the thingies turn and supposedly open op to slide on the handlebar, but in the process i deformed them rendering them nice ornaments.
ill have a rummage for some senseful shimano ones.
