Thanks - they are fake, but they're years old at this point and, i must say, have been flawless. I've never lost a bottle!

First impressions of this are that it's pretty fun. The second hand Deore hydraulics I slapped on need a bit of attention though. Mudguards, flite and better grips coming soon.
The cockpit might need changing as well. I love the @M_V bullmoose bars but the reach might be a bit long.

Following the old Cotic thread I’ve been building this up slowly with mostly second hand bits. Will swap out the fork to something steel with a longer steerer, and some other tweaks down the line. @Biggles567 added some extra bottles bosses too (cheers)!

Regarding my problem of the crank bolt loosening repeatedly two pages ago, would this self extraction cap help to keep the bolt in place?

Or maybe even Ti for extra pimpness

Only after it was already too loose to hold the crank in place.
If your crank is still loosening after you've reassembled it correctly (proper lube, proper torque), the damage is already done and it's new crank time.

Very nice. What's the frame?

@coventry_eagle I'll choose to take that as a compliment
@SkipTown A brand I hadn't ever heard of 6KU, it was something like £60 on eBay. ticked all my boxes, but has a 25.4 seatpost.

+1… bestestest bike you have. pleeeeease do me a favour and put an slr135 (or any other from the first gen series) on it just for one pic… i get the period correctness of the turbo, but i’d be chuffed to have a wallpaper pic with of it with a skinny saddle :D

OG Flite would be the next saddle after the Turbo.
this is nice, i have a ratty pompino setup in a similar way for local errands, also with bontrager satellites but the wheels are 650b. I keep meaning to find another frame as it is a bit small for me.
fake? bontrager cages a nice touch :)
