Yeah, less compromise on just being a fun bike. I tend to make everything into a bit of a centrist-dad-commuter and my bikes just end up being a jumble of everything, this is my late 20s conscious pushback against that.

Looks quite good, been thinking about getting them to build me something. What was the cost of the frame if you don't mind me asking?
Rear bag stabiliser for sellz?
I fixed the chainwhip link using a wire cutter. I replaced the stock fuji 16t cog for a phil wood 17t. I tightened everything properly. The chain is really loud and the bars were slightly off center. That's about it.
Nah sorry it's going on another bike
new stikers and thanks @BigH for the indexed shifters
Tracklocross? Saw that someone over in Manchester was setting up a race.
Yeah that's the gist of it - pre cursa fits 35c in the back no bother! You fancying coming across? It should be a laugh, might be a disaster
A new project just arrived from France, thanks @Tychom !
Tempted, I put some silly wide bars & a slightly treaded tyre on my Graham Weigh. Need a lower gear & less flexy stem still though.
Bought this giant chaos a couple weeks ago, mainly because it was cheap and has a nice forkcrown. Today I built it up with parts bin parts, a chinese NW chainring and schwalbe table tops. Quite happy with the result so far :) rear brake cable is awkwardly routed and will be sorted soon, same goes for the bar plugs.
I was thinking this week I wanna build up something like exactly this.
Put in some bar plugs pls.
Had a similar Giant, was a lovely bike, and lovely craftsmanship on those fork crowns indeed. Solid beater!
This is the first time i see a NOS Flite !
Nice bottel cages ; )
i bought fsa bars, zipp rimtape, shop bartape, conti front. considering gatorskin for rear.
Sorry mate, it was 200 quid with 4 month realisation.
Not bad! Thanks for the info.
Hehe, I‘m not looking to sell it atm :) But I can definitely recommend building sth like it. Total cost has been around 130€ and it‘s loads of fun. Keeping it 7 speed keeps down the cost considerably.
@Hulsroy cheers, the bar plugs have been sorted before the shakedown ride.
@gaston it‘s not NOS but in great condition indeed. It‘ll go on my jan janssen as it is too nice for a beater like the giant.
Couple more pics from today.
That looks loads of fun!
(as does that road)
Looks rad! What size it is and how tall are you?
I bought this frame last year, collected some parts and i finally have time to finish it. Plan is pub/fun bike 1x10, sram X7 rear deraileur and shifter, basic shimano cranks with ali NW chainring, XT hubs on mavic rims, XT brakes & levers...
That paintjob is nuts, love it!
Looks good! Nice to see a Mielec roadbike:)
