  • it's all about the clarky cat these days

  • lol i thought that would make you go off on one. I can read you like a book.

  • A book that's immaculately covered, accessioned and tagged, and appropriately catalogued for the institution from which it's borrowed; and considerately returned on time with no fucking underlining, highlighting or page folding.

  • hehehehehe

  • it's all about the clarky cat these days

clarky cat is so last week man!
cake is what all the cool kids are doing.
that and the occasional bit of triple sod...

  • Oh, don't get me wrong, 99% of the people I've met in SF through bikes 'in real life' have been lovely - it's not like the snotty kids ever actually get out and ride their 'sikk fixxxxies', so I only have to deal with their nonsense on the internet.

I've made some really good friends simply by way of a shared interest in riding track bikes.

Today i found the place where the 14-18 year old kids with 'sick fixxxxies' hang out in denver... i may be on trial for murder later. if any of you ever go to denver, and are in the mood to deal with angsty highs chool kids, go to Leala's on 15th st. "you know those hubs aren't NJS right?" FFS yes i fucking do, american bike, american hubs, and i will never have to overhaul them stupid 15 year old with a "DOOM" back patch and a vivalo. where do kids get the money for that?

  • Have you got any yellow submarines?

Occasionally, I try and read A Different Cycling Forum and then re-discover that it's full of the sort of people who write in to the comic to complain about other cyclists not wearing enough yellow, or similar.

  • bmmf -a very timely sentiment from my point of view.

To think how much solace this place and these people gave me, in a hospital bed is astounding

    Y'all rock.

  • It's a well known fact that irony, randomness, and bicycle-oriented deviancy is the best medicine.

And Time ATACs are a great healer.

  • ehren's last thread just reminded me how much i love this forum, it doesn't matter what you need (bike related or not) someone will always jump to your rescue.

i would also like to take this opportunity to publicly say a big thank you to scott for reasons i'm not going to detail here, but he was incredibly helpful when i needed it.

i like the fact that the forum is only a small factor of this community and that everyone is always friendly when you meet them although some act like twats online, but rest assured the beef is always virtual.

anyway... it's a lovely day so get out and ride

  • i'd love a massive tiger

  • I might remove my cheesecake t-shirt idea before ANOTHER BIKE FORUM steal it.

  • i'd love a massive tiger

    Or a Lion...
    Not fussed.

  • Loving the love. I do love this place.

  • This place has gone to shit since I joined.

    :-)

  • On reflection, the original post is nothing more than the clingy outpourings of a bi-polar freak.

But, I do enjoy some of these forum rides. The Tuesday night ride was the perfect balance between a clubrun, a chaingang, and an anarchic, risk-taking, velocipedic melée; with cookies and stars (and their water-carriers).

To paraphrase a miserable, monomaniacal, [st]cheating[/st] evasive Texan: "It's not about the forum."

  • When I read the first post, I automatically though of bikeforum.net, and then ACF.

    Lol!

    • spot on.
The "fast" train ride home was the sugar sprinkling on the cherry on the icing.

and a bit of love in there as well - the moment with johnny's nipple was memorable...more more more i say!

  • ^ sick and wrong.

Neither, but let's face it, they're all the same.

I seem to have missed something..
