What do I need to start skidding?
You need a rear wheel drive car, preferably fitted with a limited slip differential or a welded differential. Those are the only ingredients you need to get started. Having a manual gearbox car, with a good working handbrake, coilover suspension and a supportive seat will make it much easier again. The next level is to make steering geometry changes to increase steering lock, fit strong clutches, and increase the cars engine power.
You can compensate not having a lot of power by increasing the pressure in the rear tyres. It is a myth that skid cars should run poor quality / gripless rear tyres to skid. Skid cars need as much lateral grip as a track car to attain the huge speeds and huge angles, hence why a lot of top level cars run cut slick track tyres. However, learning on cheap / used tyres is a perfectly normal and good way to learn throttle control.
it looks like you're doing this all wrong or did I miss something?

only way to skid on those peugeot bikes of 88 is to jam your big toe in the spokes. if you cant find the switch that is. you should have got the black one with green decals. so much simpler.

Have you tried asking a friend to stand at the side of the road and shout 'Do a skid' as you ride past?

I learned to skid by cycling off the top off buildings. It's surprisingly easy to lock the back wheel when in freefall.
After that I moved onto ice crevasses with near vertical slopes, then tarmac.

Skidding without leaning well forward is alot like making love to a beautiful woman.
First you must must learn to use your entire body, every muscle must be both staining with effort and tingling with excitement.
Second you must learn to read the feedback. Use all your senses some times the slightest change in touch can make all the difference.
Lastly you must remember that there is no substitute for experience, theory will get you so far but practice and experimentation will truly help you find what works for you and how to reach skidding navara.
Fuck... come back Tommy.

What a fucking amoeba.
I saw a girl doing that "bum shifting" thing like that to slow down today. Except it didn't really work because she was riding a single speed with only a front brake and using flat pedals. Imbecile.
