I was fine with it* till the Paul chainkeeper.

Not really my cup of tea but whatever, the anodised shit appeals to some people.

With a modern chainring and rear mech the keeper surely adds nothing but friction and noise to the drivetrain. Justification - I used to have one, bought cheap off ebay and used on a 1x setup where I couldn't afford/be bothered to buy a narrow wide ring or a clutched mech.
