EMS would have done a good job- its parcel force on this end that fucked you over.
Trust me.It could be bias as I'm going to japan again!!!!!!!!

please don't tell me you got them to put a really low value on it for customs?? which will reflect on the insurance payout?
-
• #32
Yup, I can second EMS doing a good job.

MrSmith please don't tell me you got them to put a really low value on it for customs?? which will reflect on the insurance payout?
No customs. The problem is it's so hard to find one in a bigger size. I've been looking for ages. This one was exactly my size. It's ugly as fuck, but it's only cosmetic. The first picture makes it look like it's pierced the tubing. It's only a small dent, and it's scratched the paint/decal through to the steel. I'm sure It can be repaired.
Just built it up. Off for a spin. If you see me, I'll pass you on the inside.
Here's the good side.

I guess I don't really need that tube protector. -

I've just cum!

wow

Should still be able to get a payout, at the very least that'll amount to a proper repair job and painters of your choice, no?

i thought hippy was on holidays…
-
• #45
Why don't you just pop that tube protector over the gash?
If anyone asks, come up with some excuse or other about style or summink. You should take the frame to Parcelforce HQ and rub their collective face in the dent like the dirty, metaphorical rug-staining puppies that they are.
Bitches.But yummy ride, nevertheless!

sweet bike, thats fucked about the dent... i reckon the tube might need to be replaced, but you said it looks worse in the photos then in person.
the down tube takes less of the vibrations off the road then any of the others.. but still looks like a big dent
parcelforce fucktards. hope you get some cash off them to get it fixed.

We were talking about this down the pub. My brother is a pipe fitter. He said Parcel force do drops at his site at Old Street in the morning. Loads of steal construction pipe. ;[
I've got a couple of NOS Araya's coming EMS too. There going to be fucked!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I keep telling myself that there are people starving, people with cancer. It's not a big deal.

your not going to weld a construction pipe in there are you?
don't do it, match the tubing and use the insurance pay out to get it done properly.
