Django Mondul beans (Tanzania) are pretty good on first brew. £7 for 250g too v.reasonable

Did you buy from Mazzer directly?

Do you mind me asking how much it was once postage and tax were added? I am really tempted to upgrade from Niche Zero…
If you don’t want entry to the golf club please send me a private message

They're only 175GBP more than a Niche Duo (before taxes.) Hardly golf club.

I had every intention of buying the lavazza modo mio but ended up with the smeg because it colour matched my robot and was only about three times the price. Does a good job of heating and frothing milk for milky coffees and gets a lot of use making hot chocolate in the winter.

Maybe in the UK- here in SG they’re £1,600

Wow that's some difference innit. Might try for tomorrow.
I have to say I am flying through the beans here because of this new toy. I normally get though 1kg a month but I might have to increase that :/

Given the things people shit the bed about cost wise I wouldn’t want someone to open themselves up for the jealous trolls 🧌

I have a beautiful Moccamaster but only ever brew 400ml for myself. All this chat is making me Sage PB curious, reckon it’d be better for small amounts
-
• #27362
Holy shit! $995 here with sales tax on only $195 of that.
-
• #27363
Same. 30-50g for a brew or cold brew.
I’m going to have a hunt around for different settings. Presumably different beans, regions and roast profiles will get better or worse results depending on the settings.

I think I might have stumble upon a life hack for SPB.
When you put more than 600ml into the tank the cold brew option disappears. 600ml is not enough for me for a cold brew.
If you look in the tank there is a level sense at 600ml. I’ve put 800ml into the tank, if you tilt the machine back when depending on the placement of your machine, the cold brew option then reappears.

@Dammit my SO gifted it to me for my birthday (I know right??) so I wouldn't know for sure. But she mentioned that she ordered it just before the shop went on summer holidays. And funnily enough, the Mazzer online shop is currently closed.
I don't like to talk prices of a gift too much but I'll leave you the link with price in € incl. tax and shipping, which I assume she paid. Pretty much golf club if you ask me@Tenderloin thanks! I know it's not the answer you want to hear but I only have a V60. Eventually I will treat myself with an espresso machine but since it will most likely be a Linea Micra, it's not going to happen anytime soon haha

Soooo who wants to buy my Niche…

Clever dripper is the answer.

Borrowed one a while ago but didn’t really get on with it
-
• #27370
Fair do's, what issue did you have with it? Just curious as I've found it's almost impossible to make bad coffee with it.
-
• #27371
Can’t actually remember, think I was just a bit underwhelmed. Gonna dig it out and have another go this morning.
-
• #27372
I like a bit of drama when I’m making coffee. A clever dripped would taste amazing, but where’s the sense of occasion
-
• #27373
Watch the Hoff vid on brew method of you haven't already.
I've wanted a Moccamaster for years but just don't make enough coffee in one go to justify the space it'll take up, for the few occasions I make more a v60 is generally enough.
Still doesn't stop me searching online for one every couple of months.

@plasticniki How does SPB compare to Clever Dripper from your experience?

Hoff vid
First thing I googled 😂
The Moccamaster was a wedding gift, I love it but only use it three or four times a week for small brews. Just like fiddling really. Shockingly I use London Tap Water™️ - might pop to Tesco and get some Ashbeck... then eventually install the filter system I've had in mind for years.

I got these settings off Reddit. I’ve found them to be quite good.
I’d just like to understand why they are good or bad and see if there’s room for improvement
