I'm new to the forum. Just thought I'd introduce myself.

i'm currently not riding anything!
someone stole my wheels and i can't really afford to replace them :-(
my plan is to sell the remains of my bike and spend the money fixing up this nice old carlton frame i found in a ditch!
so if anyone has any cheap (i'm an impoverished student) old bits & pieces for sale, gimme a shout.
i want to convert it to single speed and maybe even give fixed a go (which is how i found this forum).
i'd ideally like to use a flip-flop hub with fixed/free gears.
any advice for me?

sorry - i need to put you straight on a matter of forum etiquette:

when saying hello for the first time please ensure you don't actually say hello, instead you should simply post a list of everything you have to sell. this encourages more positive responses and a full and frank discussion. the more japanese hipster wank you have to spuff the better, this garners a range of excited offers of freindship.

yeah you can't just come out with "hello" and then expect to get away with it.

you've got to have stuff for sale otherwise it's not worth coming on the forum

pj is right...you should always try to sell something with your first post.or even better,put a bike on gumtree then start a discussion saying you have a bike for sale on gumtree and don't post a link...we love that! :)

a ripped tube
a bent chainring
some nice rusty brake cables
half a chain
one of those "un-stealable" quick release skewers (the thieves dropped it when the stole my wheels)
and some gaffa tape to hold it all together.

Yeah I know. I used to go to their early party's at George IV, Telegraph, The Junction(ace party's), I used to DJ at The Bug Bar when they first started there too.
Felix(the guy I was jesting about in the pic) can often be seen bombing it around Brockwell Park on his bike! :-)
