Have also been pondering a 160mm ebike. Would make bristol riding so much more accessible...

Great trail that...when it’s kinda dry :)
-

Yeah, my favourite trail at the park when it’s dry, possibly my most disliked when its a muddy gully in which you are just a passenger and have no hope of picking a line.
Rode it Friday morning before the onslaught of rain started and it was a bit boggy in places. -

Also wish I had a basket attached to my Capra... did you notice the swathes of Chanterelle mushrooms dotted all over the park?
Heads to the foraging thread

Does anyone have a 10 speed goat link they no longer need? I noticed on eBay loads of alternative road links but seems wolftooth is the only MTB option.
Alternatively, has anyone successfully run an 11 speed Shimano mech with a 10 speed setup?

Are you looking for 42T & 10sp? M6000 Deore does that.
-
• #12062
Yeah I’ve got one on my MTB, I think it struggles a bit tbh. Not sure if it’s due to the shape of my hanger.
Problem I’m having with my 10s SLX mech is it’s catching the cassette ever so slightly in certain gears. After a long look I think a road link might help so may try one of those cheapo ones and see what happens.

As an update, I bit the bullet and got a goatlink 10. Fitted it to my SLX clutch mech and shifting is now better than the Deore m6000 that’s on my MTB. In case anyone else is debating / considering getting a goat link - seems like a really well made bit of kit, and definitely worth it or me.
Got a photo of it alongside the OG bracket so you can see the difference.

Will second that. One of those 'just works' bits of kit.

Did BPW and the Brecon Gap road last weekend, first time in Wales it hasn't pissed down. A mate sorted us a nice oddly spanish villa feeling air bnb close to BPW with good bike cleaning and storage facilities. Bunk beds were novel but i'd recommend it if anyone wants to do a stopover (if interested pm for deets).

Hi,
I need a pair of folding 26x2.4" tyres but I haven't got much money for the project. Has anybody got something cheap?
-
• #12070
Have some 26x2.25" Nobby Nics. Probably not quite what you're after, but let me know if they're any use. Yours for postage.

interested if H isn't
-
• #12072
Thanks. I just found some Nobby Nics in my parts bin and they are 2.25"
I will start with those and see if I can squeeze in some bigger tyres later

Watching the World Championship CX race on TV in a French hotel. Racing is great, course looks fun, French commentators are hilariously biased. "Good battle here up front, OMG MAROTTE IS UP TO 9th PLACE!!!!!"

Uhh I could use a link for that. On UCI youtube?
