ruck sack plus some extra straps it is easy. A frame on it's own would be like riding with an average rucksack any way so not much waight. If you are worried get someone to ride behind you. Start a list for a group meeting a a station catch a train up with some people and then you will have company :)

    sounds like a plan, thanks.
    :)

  • he beat me to it. seriously not hard, unless you are a major short ass. pretty sure bling bling roberto will be going. if i go someone will have to take my wallet.

  • o.k now is it obligatory to get there early say 10.00, or can I get over my hangover first?

  • The buses are rubbish, plus who wants to head towards Harlow (!!!) on a bus. RIde or drive, having seen the response i might ride up.

  • Oh, there is a hill outside the station, nothing major but not nice first thing in the morning. Advise getting there for 10 on the dot leaving more time for tea and cake. How does Roberto get there with all his stuff?

    :)

could i just get your wallet anyway?

  • today definitely only got 51p ;) , tomorrows payday :P

bling bling usually takes i big bike bag i believe.

  • And there i was thinking Roberto had loads to sell. He could always get a BOB trailer, if he wanted to sell more than a unicycle.

    Wait a minute.........

    Roberto isn't Ginger!

    I've been had!

  • don't expect track frames people... you'll just be disappointed... but i assume it'll be perfect for those who's got a period road bike to finish off or want a really cheap polo bike...

julian, think you should go, at least if you lose another or break another it wont be that painful!

  • Chances of finding some Campag Athena/ early Ergo stuff?

    Better or worse than ebay.

It'll be a nice morning at least.

  • indeed, i'll probably drive up if anyone wants a lift

  • I just had a thought. Not sure what the lunch menu is like but the Black lion on epping high street does have some good beer.

    Maybe for the ride/drive back.

  • I will cycle there. That will limit me shopping potential somehow...possibly..hehe

  • Worth going to

    October 27th

Chailey Village Hall, East Sussex, on A275/A272

    Buyers: 09.00

    Contact: Mick 01892 661754

Only coming from brighton so not too far to trek...

  • I guess the only sales of this type in a westerly direction are for used BMW parts or baby-pram-bling stalls...? Fkn westies!

  • jumbles are easy, you cycle there, if you see something you like, just leave a deposit and get the phone number and arrange pick it up later ...thats what they do over here

  • So, you're not just here for your good looks then. :)

i was thinking of riding out to this but i'm away this weekned! you'll have to scout out any bargains mate.

  • might go over elvis, depends if my pay cheque clears and if I can shake my f-ing man flu

  • cool, i noticed there's one in steyning in january. that'll be worth a look as well.

  • yeah i'll def be up for that one at steyning, what sort of bits can you expect at these kind of things am a jumble-virgin you see

  • everything and nothing bike wise as far as I know. it's not track specific or anything. potential bargains though!

  • Yeah i'm still torn on whether to start a conversion from scratch then add bits as I can afford them

or change all the stock bits on my fuji slowly and once I have everything decent then replace the frame?

  • tough one really. depends on cash flow and how long the bits on your fuji will last i guess??

conversions are fun and you can do them on the cheap. basically if I come across any frames or bits in the right sizes and for the right price I generally take them. they'll all come in handy one day.
