"NICE BIKE MATE!!!" @hippy near Ealing Common.
Nice neo-retro One-One machine for this autumnal weather...
First ride on the home-waxed chain. Sooooo quiet! Love it.
Personally, I found the wax gunked up in a week and became unforgivably slow / sticky. But it was pretty good for a couple of days. I quickly reverted back to GT85 dry lube, piss thin and have to re-apply every few days but it hasn't gunked up once.
Where? Did you wipe the excess off when it came out of the crockpot? There doesn't appear to be enough wax on my chain to build up anywhere but I guess time will tell.
I had a mechanic apply it. But, I found it was dirt and grit that was collecting on it. Could be absolutely fine, just sharing my experience.
SOOOOOOOO SMOOOOTH!!! Enjoy the buttery smoothness while you can...
Was it hot wax bath or was it something like Squirt wax lube? Because most of the reports I've read about Squirt talk about it building up like that.
Erm, unsure. Sounds like the latter.
Well, I'm experimenting with proper waxing over here: https://www.lfgss.com/conversations/339074/
Oh god, I forgot how intense simple things can get on this forum. Interested to see how you get on with that approach though, sounds like there's reasonable results.
Ah Ti now izzit?
@ad441 Elmers End on Sunday?
Brixton jersey and Talbot in the rain.
A cyclist queueing in the taxi queue at King's Cross. I wonder how long he'd been there. Also someone riding a cargo bike with one of those 'platforms' seemingly made out of inner tubes and a dog sitting on it--no railings around the dog. To be fair, they weren't going fast.
Most of central london looks like a taxi queue so easy mistake to make I think
Yes, very probably. 'Enjoying' third consecutive damp Kent cycle since I got back from doing Torino-Nice. It's a been a bit of a come down...
That was a good spot. Does your kid go to school there?
Cinelli Tipo Pista (fun), Fizik winter boots (srs), Giro snowboard goggles (WTF) Gower Street last night.
@fredtc zipping down Holloway road
@Crop probably me! @CGMarshall nice to see you again this morning :) Are your DA hubs brown or just dirty?
Custom Gold, took them over from my Samson Build.
That's some pretty banging colour matching!
Cinelli Mash/Vigorelli, the one with the pink rear triangle, bullhorns taped with pink tape, older gentleman, white hair, riding down the kings road/Putney bridge. On here?
Lovely to bump into @jonny just now.
