  • nobody outside Croatia drinks Croatian wine

Rakija though, bring me that shit every time!

  • I have that too. Can't stand the sound of people eating, slip smacking etc. I've had to stop watching TV shows because of how they've done the sound when people are eating.

  • Yep, horrible stuff. I often can't eat in the same room as friends or family.

  • Don't you just stick on some music or the TV when people are eating?

    bro do u even headphone?

  • Very often, feels even more antisocial sometimes

  • I don't think the waiters appreciate it

  • On a French exchange and they wouldn’t tell me what it was (though I could just about guess). They thought they were being hilarious

  • Could have been worse. The French exchange of a bloke in my class kept trying to give him suppositories.

"You want? You wamt? I stick it in you ass."

  • I had tripe in a cream sauce on a French exchange, I thought it was a type of cannelloni. It was great…didn’t resemble the kind of nasty shit you get here.

  • Oh shit yeah misophonia I have that pretty badly. I don’t go to the cinema because I can’t stand the sound of the eating. I nearly punched some guy because he sat next to me on a train and pulled out one those massive bags of kettle chips. I managed to keep my shit together enough to ask him through gritted teeth to please not eat those near me and recommend another carriage.

I once had a team leader who only ate crisps. About 12 bags a day, she was in her 20s and had lost a lot of teeth. I had to endure her gumming pack after pack of crisps everyday. I think she was the source of my misophonia tbh

It’s far worse if I’m tired. It’s my problem not the noisy eaters, but the rage response is pretty heavy. I sometimes have to nip off for a minute so as not to be horrible to someone who really doesn’t deserve it. Even words like crunch or munch set me off. Adverts with exaggerated crunch sounds send me berserk, the noise they use for a magnum ice cream… dear god give me strength . Drinking makes it go away so there’s that

I knew a guy like that. His nickname was crispy. Not because of the crisps but because of his complexion.

  • She was a fucking rotter of the highest order

  • It’s far worse if I’m tired. It’s my problem

Or if I'm hungry, or if I'm trying to concentrate on something.

My partner is very considerate, and even thougg we both acknowledge that it is my problem, will not eat until i have chosen something to put on TV (yeah, that's right - we eat in front of the telly), and started eating myself.

The irony is that I am not a quiet eater by any stretch.

Elsewhere, I either block my ears somehow, or just walk away.

Simarly there's some anime that I've quit for good because of how the actors do their eating noises. We also had someone staying with us for a couple of months who seemed to think she was being polite by making appreciative hmmm noises while eating like some kind of exaggerated child. I don't want a review of each chew.

  • I had to stop listening to The Archers when Brian and Siobhan were having an affair and made lots of kissey noises.

I also get feelings of rage at eating noises , drinking is worse. My wife and daughter are the same.

  • The sloppy eating noise can get to me sometimes and I do dislike eating without any kind of background noise one like radio or TV. But for me it's stuff like someone pouring water out of the kettle into a mug, sizzling baking trays/pans, gentle simmering water and stuff like that. No idea why but deep down I think it's because I just associate it with adverts/TV/films that seem to use that kind of sound to signify some joyous warmth and relaxation when in reality for me it just puts me on edge for some reason. Hate the Bisto and Lurpak adverts for this reason and also the trend of cooking videos online where they'll whisper in some ASMR way 'and listen to this' before scraping a knife across the top of something that's crispy before letting out an orgasmic moan.

  • scraping a knife across the top of something that's crispy before letting out an orgasmic moan.

    Don't stop.

  • The To and Cc etiquette on emails.

I get as you gradually keep adding more and more and more and more people onto an email chain it becomes an ever increasing pain to move all those names and distro lists from the To: field to the CC: field...

...but it really fucks me off.

This email is "To" one of those fucking people, not nine plus a fucking distro list of however many people who won't read it.

  • I'll pop some findus crispy pancakes under the grill and give you a ring. usual fee applies.

  • give you a ring

Yes, yes, a thousand times yes.

  • *pending divorce.

  • Married is a different way of saying 'engaged to be divorced'.

  • I had to stop listening to The Archers when I heard the theme tune.
