Armstong's position now is that he didn't cheat, and never tested positive. He doesn't actually state he raced clean, or say he didn't dope in his statement.

I'm just curious if there's anybody else who can step up into his shoes* (while we're talking about shoes). Is there anybody else from that era who was completely clean and actually achieve anything?

The only thing that Hammond has achieved is being thought of as a right "back and front" by everyone other than Daily Mail readers.

My only experience of him as a person is a talk he gave at a coaching conference recently, it was pretty good, he seemed honest enough.
Can't say I've ever read the daily mail.
