Also, looking for some metal silver 700x50 guards. Any condition considered!!! Please please. Thanks.
Kolla med Veloform.
Probbably it was asked here already, but what is the most neat option to mount rear mudguard when I dont have any eyelests near dropouts?
P Clips I'd thought. or glue?
Make tabs that attach to the QR or axle
Decisions, decisions... PDW or Velo Orange Zeppelin in black for my black Straggler build?
Velo Orange imo. One of the main reasons to run PDWs is if your bike won't fit mudguards
I don't think that's the case with the larger ones? They're good guards in their own right
QR or thru?
If QR then pdw are great.
Any idea if Specialized Tricross (Singlecross) will clear 53 mm mudguards with 700x40c studded tyres? Considering fitting them for my winterbike build.
Oh yes, no doubt they're good guards. I've had 3 pairs. But if you have mudgard mounts and clearances, then the VO are much more beautiful imo
Mudguard mounts on the mtb, but a rockshox forx in the front. Any forum approved mudguards? Guess I'll have to work with zipties in the front? 26" wheels, qr.
made a jazzy new mudflap this morning
Did @amey take these?
No, you should
Anyone have a set of 26 x 65mm guards for sells?
Yes, did that. Unfortunately he’s out of the size I need.
can you get a 28mm tyre in some sks raceblades? packaging says only 25mm.. wouldnt mind going to 28mm over winter
XL version clears 28mm easily. Have clip-on ones I was looking to sell for £10 if you (or anybody else) want them?
EDIT: ugh forgot someone had dibs on them, sorry.
thanks and no worries
I've just gone for the 25mm and bought a new rear 25mm... will at least offer slightly more grip than my current tyre
Can anyone recommend or link some rubber/other suitable sheeting type material for making flaps out of?
Carpet underfelt . Or plastic ring binders from a local stationers . A multitude of colours and at half a mill thick just stiff enough . Old milk cartains will also work .
leather scrap, old pannier liners, krazy karpets, coroplast, old tires, rubber mats....
Fairy liquid bottles old style with the red top.
