Fuck this heat.

• #7678
Yea. Can someone turn it down a bit? Too hotttttttttt
-
• #7679
At least it was reasonably cool for the commute in. But the ride home is exhausting at the moment.

i loved that feeling, leaving an airconditioned office stepping out into the sultry heat
like stepping off an aircraft somewhere tropical, just cycle home slowly along some backstreets via a pub and you're golden -

School sports day.
Oof.

As is traditional, at the first hint of heat the office air-con has broken down. Happens every year without fail, the partners all have their own offices with windows and get themselves portable air-con units so don't give a fuck.
When there is a suggestion that we should get working air-con the response is that it costs money.

Someone* has broken down 10 feet from my open ground floor window.
This someone is a white van and the recovery lorry has had his shitty motor idling for the past half hour.

I rode back from Hammersmith to Herne Hill last night, surrounded by lightning but no thunder and no rain.
It was odd but cool.

Heat lightnin' is what we call it in these parts.
-
• #7696
Filmed about 10 minutes of it around 2:30 am this morning. Walked round the dark house watching the lightning flashes light up various windows. It was pretty cool Although the worst of it didn't pass right overhead the rain and flashes were pretty impressive.

Sounds like good footage for the next video. :)

Great rain last night up at the Flask. Completely dry on the ride home.
-
• #7699
Ha. Yeah maybe. It's quite odd because the screen is completely black between flashes and when watching back you don't know which window is going to pop up. Or what will be at it...
